“A wonderful surprise!”
Reviewed 4 October 2012

We stayed at West Glacier overnight whilst exploring the area and found Rawhide on the highway close to where we were staying. Although this is the end of the season and things are very quiet, Lynn, our hostess, could not have been more welcoming.

Our meals were just excellent - and the perfect size. I had grilled salmon and my husband a TBone steak which he said was as good as he has tasted (and he is a carnivore who has eaten in some of the best of the world's restaurants). Our salad was elegantly served and delicious with fresh raspberries and a lovely dressing. Wine was from California and well priced.

All in all this was a surprise to us - we expected a pretty ordinary meal in this neck of the woods, not a gourmet experience. Thank you to Lynn who also runs a very well stocked gift shop so you can combine shopping as well as a meal! Go for it!

“Glad it was there”

Went there as cover from a rain storm while on our motor cycle, very glad we did, their service was great and enjoyed the food. We would go there again if traveling in that area

“Happily go here again”
Reviewed 29 August 2012

We dropped in here for food after we used Wild River Adventures for rafting. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food was good (nothing amazing but certainly not bad) and priced ok given that it was almost at the entrance to the National Park. We didnt have any issues with it.

There was also a decent gift shop attached which sold the cool boot shaped glasses used in the restaurant and the very clever salt and pepper holders used in the restaurant.

“Find somewhere else”
Reviewed 13 August 2012

We were in the area for a few days so tried The Rawhide Steak House one evening. I'm not going to waste a lot of words on it. The foods was OK, not bad, but certainly nothing to write home about. One word for the waitress: rude. There are a number of other nice places to eat in the area. We won't be back to Rawhide.

“Lots of stuff in the store, and good food in the restaurant too.”
Reviewed 4 August 2012

We stayed just down the road in West Glacier, Montana. This was one of the first places we stopped on our way in to Glacier National Park. The store has lots of interesting items. GNP items, and general stuff to remember your vacation. The restaurant which is connected to the store, has very good food.
