There a good reason that this place won the James Beard Award a few years back. This is not your conventional restaurant, but rather a dining experience. A prix fixe dinner is served at 6:30 pm in the summertime, but arrive around 5:30 to have a beverage, and to share appetizers with other guests. You will be seated at a communal table, and will share dishes and conversation with guests from afar. Each night, a different fish or shellfish is the main course, with salad and vegetables harvested from the beautiful garden outside. Considering the remote Alaska location, this restaurant is an incredible find, and should be experienced if you love food and conversation.
