We booked the full day antelope canyon kayak tour. It was great. Jim is a very good guide. He took us to a quiet part of the canyon which was great. Jim provides breakfast, snacks and lunch on this tour which are all good. But, if you are used to a good breakfast have some before you go. A banana and a sweet roll is not enough for me.
Our trip was limited to 6 people. According to Jim this was a large group for a full day tour. We thought it was perfect!
The trip is expensive, but worth the expense.

My husband and I did an overnight trip. Jim was great, knowledgable and happy to cater the trip to what we wanted to see. The whole area is just stunning, and Jim kept the whole trip interesting, from jumping off rocks to exploring slot canyons and sleeping under the stars is not to be missed! At the very least go and see Lone Rock! But I would highly recommend an overnight trip or longer if you have the time.

I recently did the Labyrinth Canyon overnight trip with Kayak Lake Powell. A great, great trip and a great guide. You hop on a motor boat at the Antelope Point Marina and motor ~10 miles up the lake to one of the prettiest parts of Lake Powell and unload the boat there. We divided up the personal and camping gear into the kayaks and did a very leisurely 2 hour paddle into Labyrinth Canyon. We paddled up canyon till the water ran out, beached our kayaks and then hiked further up canyon to explore. Labyrinth becomes a progressively narrower slot canyon and is a great day hike. Once we got back to the boats, we paddled another hour to a beach where we pulled out for lunch. We explored the area on our own while the guide made lunch for the group. Back in the boats for a leisurely ~ 1 hour paddle to our campsite. We unpacked all the gear and setup camp. The guides provide the tent, sleeping bad, pad, food, drinks and all cooking gear and take care of food prep and cleanup. The kayaks themselves were very nice (a few were brand new) with lots of adjustments to optimize the seat for comfort. We spent the afternoon and evening exploring the area on our own and had a great dinner and campfire that night. The next morning we ate breakfast, broke down camp, loaded the kayaks and headed out. We kayaked for about an hour, got out to explore some islands, then kayaked another hour to the pickup point where the motor boat would pickup us and our gear and shuttle us back to Antelope Point. The scenery was spectacular, the locations we pulled out to explore were great, the pace of kayaking was great, the fact that the paddling sessions were nicely broken up with breaks for meals and exploring was great, the guide was great, the campsite was great, the food was great, the fact that they provide all the gear and food is great. All in all, a perfect adventure. Kayak Lake Powell was very organized and provided everything the group needed, know the area well, provided high quality kayaks, and provided great food. Highly recommended.

If you love a good sunrise, a good paddle and a big breakfast, the all day paddle at Lone Rock is a must.

Whether its kayaking or local history you're wanting Jim knows his stuff. He also adapts each tour to meet the paddlers needs and strengths, ensuring you see as much as possible for your paddle power.

We like early mornings so chose the sunrise tour, the sun was coming up as we entered the water and headed for Lone Rock Canyon.

Whilst Jim cooked us a breakfast of eggs, bacon and hash with tomato salsa, we went off to explore the rocks and have a swim. We arrived back to freshly plunged coffee and a bag of cherries. The food was great and the view was amazing, such peaceful surroundings.

Next we paddled to Ice-cream Canyon wind cave that looked through to Wahweap Marina. We paddled, swam and chatted with Jim until it was time to head back and load up the kayaks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our kayak time in Lake Powell, seeing so much of it up close and personal was wonderful, and we can thank and highly recommend Jim at Kayak Lake Powell for our experience.

Thanks for a great morning.

My husband and I went to Lake Powell for our 24th wedding anniversary. My husband has some health problems and I was concerned about him kayaking. Kat assured us that he would be fine and let Jim know.
Not only was he fine, but Jim was patient, fun, considerate and we had a great time! He is an excellent guide, we took the am tour-he took us to a great spot for swimming and a 'rest'.....I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Great people, great trip!
