Clearwater lodge was an enchanting escape into the majestic wilderness of the BWCA. The owners make you feel extremely welcome and are a great resource on the history of the lodge as well as the many activities to do on the lake itself and in the surrounding area. Our stay there was wonderful an we will definitely be returning.

We had the pleasure to stay up there twice. Both times were wonderful!! We stayed in two different cabins. Very clean and comfortable. The views are amazing. There is so much to do for activities. We had a blast! The owners are terrific! They have done a lot of work to the resort. The history of the place is so interesting. A place to defiantly check out. We will be back for certain.

Everything about Clearwater lodge is fantastic. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The cabins Have all been recently updated. Although fishing is one of the main reasons people go to the boundary waters but if you're up there you've got to check out honeymoon bluff it's a wonderful view.

Great location, historic lodge, great service, and many ongoing improvements. Remodeled bunkhouse and improvements to Suites in Lodge. Even the weather was great. The Gunflint Trail is the place to be!

We stayed at the lodge for 2 nights during the labor day weekend, suite A is perfect for three people with private shower, kitchen is well equipped, and the decor is very comfortable + heartwarming. The guestbooks from the past on the end table are great story sharing pieces during the nights with campfire next to the main lodge. Since we only have two days, we are able to take full advantage of every equipment the lodge provides and make it a really slow & relaxing small hiking/ fishing vacation. It's not a big lodge or over commercialized, every little details has some stories. Adam, Kasey and Gloria are awesome hosts who answered our questions from time to time. Can't wait to go back again soon :D

The week of August 26, 2012 was my second stay at Clearwater this year. My husband and I took along our 9 week old son this time and we couldn't have had a better experience! We stayed here in May 2012 and thought that experience couldn't be topped; it was even better this last week! Adam and Kasey have put so many updates into the lodge and cabins to make the experience one that cannot be forgotten. They both have such warm, inviting personalities and make you feel like they have known you your whole life. One of our last memories of this trip was Kasey offering us a break from holding our son and rocking him to sleep. What a great way to remember our last minutes at Clearwater Lodge!

This time we participated in an evening with Harriet on Tuesday night. As the daughter of Charlie Boostrom, Harriet gave us the history of the lodge and the Gunflint Trail which made me feel even more connected to this beautiful place than I had before; that connection will keep me returning year after year.

Our son enjoyed spending mornings on our dock with us as we sipped coffee and watched the sun rise over the palisades. It was a perfect vacation and a much needed break from the business of life!

We've stayed at the Lodge and the cabins for several years, but this August (2012) was our first time under the new owners. They have done great things to an already wonderful place. The cabins were fun and rustic and now they are fun with new bathrooms and other modern amenities. Two couples in a cabin fit just right and we had a great time.

Adam and Kasey are the best hosts, always ready to respond to our requests. We took full advantage of their suite of services: staying at the lodge before we set out for six days of canoeing and camping, staying at Cabin 6 for another week, renting the motorboat on our first day back because we were too tired to paddle another day, having breakfast at the lodge, and using the fish cleaning hut. It's a full service place with great management.
