Had the veggie bean burrito and the spice in the sauce was just right.. We also had a few cocktails in the "Raven" and the bartender makes good tini's and Manhattan's.. Happy people are we..)

“Good as a bar, terrible as a restauant.”
Reviewed 23 March 2014

Stopped in o the GFT this past weekend after a day of snowmobiling. Ordered food and drinks and meal started off good. That night there was a live band and they were great, definitely why the crowd was there. Had the chicken wings which were baked and had some good flavour. Beer was from local breweries and had a decent selection. Ordered the pizza and it was horrible. Served to the table was a $27 McCain frozen pizza, I'm sure it wasn't because the McCains would probably would have tasted better. The pizza dough was horrific and it was loaded with toppings that didnt have any flavour. Got the bill and noticed the waitress added 2 extra drinks to our tab, not worth the argument. Definitely won't be going back to eat, not much else to do in Grand Marais in the winter so if I do return it will just be for a drink and will watch the tab.

“Average (at best)”
Reviewed 23 March 2014

We have been to this place several times. At best, I would call everything (service, food, drinks, etc.) average. There is a lot of potential, but it never seems to appear. The wait staff acts like your presence is an inconvenience and the food is overpriced for what you receive. The only redeeming characteristic is that the view and location are nice.

“Awesome atmosphere”
Reviewed 19 March 2014 via mobile

The view and atmosphere is awesome! Very friendly and great service. The food was average though... but still a good experience. I would definitely come back, but probably for a drink or simple food, like the burger.

“Fun atmosphere, but not a great value”
Reviewed 10 March 2014

Very fun, bar atmosphere. They have all types of world currency displayed over the bar. Has the feeling of a hip place in the outskirts of a metro area. They have a rooftop deck that would have great views of the lake in the summer. (We were there on a Sat. night in March). Service was okay; not particularly attentive. I ordered butternut squash ravioli. For $19, it was a disappointment. They filled my plate with mixed greens and there were 6 little, tiny raviolis tucked in there. They were about 1"x 1". They were rather dry and bland. I left still hungry. My companions ordered the ribs and were satisfied, but not all that impressed.
