This trip was well worth both the time and money spent! The guide was funny, informative, and careful to position the raft to get the best views of the wildlife and scenery.

We saw a total of 26 eagles (and ospreys) in 90 minutes on the trip more than we had seen in all of Alaska, Real close, too! We also saw a variety of ducks and Canada geese.

A few beavers also made an appearance and posed for pictures. The trip is flat water, so no danger of getting your camera equipment wet. Pick up and drop off is at the Grand Tetons Visitor Center.

This is a great well run company.

I recently travelled to Jackson with girlfriends and was so excited to do a float trip down the Snake River....what a perfect trip. Our guide, James, was very knowledgable about the history of the valley, the Snake River (It's not named for it's snaking quality!), the animals and more. We had a mixed group of families and couples...he made it fun for all of us. Everyone was so nice and helpful...very strict on safety (which was awesome) and the Dornan's set-up in Moose is very cool. Shopping, dining, bar, rafting, floats, everything...plus we found out the Dornan family is one of those rare businesses who have gone back generations...I love that about small towns. Highly recommended to all :)

This is the only operation for this portion of the Snake. That means no other boats. More opportunity for wildlife. Conner, our guide, was really a wealth of knowledge: Snake, history, Jackson and the local hot spots. My opinion is they are a smaller ownership team that applies a higher level of care and service than the bigger shops. We saw many elk, mule deer, a lot of eagles, pelicans, ospreys and storm against the Tetons.

We took 2 float trips on the Snake River and highly recommend the 7:00 p.m. float we enjoyed with Dornan's. Our guide was a local man who knew and loved the area. He pointed out eagle and osprey nests and was able to bring the boat within a few yards of moose, beaver and elk and a pair of cranes. Very early floats and those at the end of the day are, by far, the best if your goal is a quiet float for game viewing. The river is still beautiful during the day, but with a lot more people, most of the wildlife is IN the boat instead of on the banks.

It was an expensive 80 minutes on the Snake River. It was fun and everyone got lots of sun. Overall, the guide of knowledgeable and put safety first.

Unfortunately, I felt that the value for money was not there.
