“Great Gatlinburg Vacation”
Reviewed 29 November 2012

We were very pleased with our visit to the Glenstone Lodge, which we discovered through Groupon, and only wish we could have stayed more than three nights - perhaps next time !
The Lodge staff was extremely accommodating, helpful and friendly, as you would expect. Our third floor balcony room was large, clean and comfortable, and included a king sized bed, sofa, desk, free internet service, refrigerator, coffee maker, and a large flat screen TV.
Although we didn't take advantage of it on this trip, the heated indoor pool area looked very inviting, and a number of guests were obviously having a great time.
As an unexpected bonus, the breakfast buffet was nothing short of fantastic ! The chef, who has been there for over 20 years, will prepare an omelet to order, with anything you want on it, or eggs, any way you want them, or a Belgium waffle with real maple syrup, plus they have just about anything else you can think of, including crispy bacon, sausage links and patties, fruit, cereals, grits, and gravy and biscuits. The price even includes great coffee, juice, or whatever you want to drink.
We had an excellent stay at the Glenstone Lodge, and I really don't believe you could find a better breakfast value in Gatlinburg.

You can't beat the location of the Glenstone Lodge. It's a quick walk to the main downtown attractions and restaurants. The rooms were very clean and it looks like they are trying to make some improvements with the new TVs! Wifi is spotty, but at least it's free and functioning in common areas. Personally, I'd rather spend less on the room rate and stay in a clean, friendly hotel and spend more money enjoying all of the fun in Gatlinburg!

Room Tip: Stay in a balcony room, great views of the mountains and city.

Well how should I start this. Well we a group of over 100 for a football Tourney were just simply sucked in. We arrive some had a room some were told their room was giving away a few got a room with a half shower one bed 2 kids nice. We had no ice machines 2 worked on 5 floors,We were told internet service when rooms were booked months ahead..Well that was a load of the Taco Bell aftermath. Lets see no fridge, Hot tub was out for the final 3 days of a four night stay.''Great maintenance'' Ya'll have. Of The 6 staff members I talked to 5 should be fired 1 was decent he said he been there bit over a week. And I ask why my window doesn't open the rude lady at the desk replied ''Your window doesn't open'' I said nice fire hazard since I been there So in all avoid the over priced, rude, false advertising fire trap of a hotel.

We got a Groupon $49/night so we stayed 3 nights. The pool was the highlight - best for 12 and under. It was about .3 from the strip just across from the Obergatlinburg chair lift. Plenty of restaurants. They also have an in house $8.95 breakfast buffet. We ate a block down at the Log Cabin Pancake House. Rooms were clean - no mold. There were a few stains on the carpet. We had a pool side room with mini fridge. If you stay pool side, take a noisemaker. We used a White Noise app on my iPhone and it was still very loud. Pool closes at 11pm, and workers hang out in the pool area in the morning and tend not to whisper. I didn't sleep very well, but we DID get 2 Queen sized beds which were great for my 2 girls. All in all, I was very happy with the value we received.

Room Tip: If you stay poolside, take a white noise maker.

We appreciate you taking time to review the Glenstone Lodge. We are happy to hear that your children enjoyed the indoor two level pool. Please try our breakfast buffet on your next visit, it really is an excellent value with many items to choose from and it includes a drink plus one small juice. We are located close to all the activities and shopping that Gatlinburg has to offer, most areas are within walking distance from the hotel. Thank you and we hope you will call us again when planning your next vacation in Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains.

Not the newest kid on the block, but it was clean, comfortable and had a fantastic indoor pool and hot tub... We enjoyed our stay with Glenstone Lodge and will stay there again. It is close to downtown, within walking distance of the main parkway. The Trolley stops just outside and for $2 a day you can ride all you want.

Glenstone Lodge was conveniently located in the center of Gatlinburg. With that being said there is not much else positive that can be said. Hotel staff needs inserviced on proper customer service. Hotel lacked significantly in cleanliness. Pool/hot tub fun for kids. Hotel rooms hf had bad odor including hallways/lobby of hotel. Room carpet dirty several stained areas. Bathroom nasty many hairs left in sink and bath tub that did not belong to us. Sliding door leading to pool from room would not even open?!?! Television channels left a lot to be desired. I think there were about 8 total channels, kids were very disappointed with this. Food in restaurant pricey for poor quality food. We were there with a beauty pageant, the ball room/conference room was nice. Pageant was lots of fun. Would not recommend someone else to stay here!!

Traveled for pleasure with family. The hotel was very accomodating, clean, good price and well located. Very close to all the tourist attractions and the National Park. We slept well, the food was quite good - cooked to order omelets etc. The pool was especially nice with the waterfall and spa. We would definately stay again.
