Well The hotel was ok but the room we where given # 321 the door would not lock it would lock from the inside but when we left the room you did not need key to open it we told the front desk twice one day and the next day we check out nobody came to fix it . The elevator broke down we where on the third floor and the stairs inside the hotel lobby only went to the second floor so you had to use the service elevator in the back or go out side in the back of the third floor and use the stairs. The day we check out went to use the service elevator on the third floor there was a cleaning lady being very loud and laughing at 8.15 am in the morning after getting on the elevator two other housekeeping people got off I got on and notice they had push all the buttons on the 4 th and 5 th floor so went up and nobody got on the elevator stop going back down because he must have push the button and at the third floor and the same house guy was there I ask him why he push all the buttons he told me no problem .
Beside that we have stayed here in the past with no problems the motel is a little dated but usely clean it has a in door and out door pool which makes it nice. You can walk to the strip from the hotel but coming back u the hill is a little long. We will stay here again maybe just had bad luck this time.

The location of the property was good. The room was outdated and old but understand they are doing a renovation. Also clean. Said I would have handicapped room but just put a chair in there. The best thing about Glenstone Lodge was the staff. Made everything enjoyable. From the restaurant people at breakfast to the front desk to the maintenance people everybody went beyond friendly!

My guess is your enjoyment of this hotel may depend on where your room is located. I was on the 5th floor with a balcony and a nice view of the picturesque church across the street. My king-size room had a fireplace (although since it was summer I didn't need it) and seemed to be recently renovated. it was quiet, comfortable, and pleasant. The breakfast was fantastic.

However, friends of mine were in a different part of the hotel. Their room was a little more dated than mine. According to a posted sign the hotel is currently undertaking renovations so perhaps this will be addressed soon.

Also, no towel racks in the bathroom. A small thing, and travelling solo it didn't bother me, but if I were with a family that might be an issue.

We used a Groupon and got a great price. Hotel lobby and rooms are in the process of being redone. Our room was clean and comfortable, but dated. Easy walk to downtown - bit of steep climb back up though. It's on the trolley route and I'd recommend taking the trolley back. Location is near the entrance to Roaring Fork Motor Trail and the back roads to by-pass down town. Pool looked great - but was pack with kids except for early in the morning.

The location was about the only thing I can say was good about the lodge. The kids also liked the indoor pool

We stayed here through a Groupon as the pricing for a family of 4 was reasonable. This lodge is stuck in the 70's all the way down to the furniture, linens, and carpet in the rooms. My wife had a great experience with a cockroach our 2nd day. Beds were extremely hard, pillows were flat as pancakes. Tub didn't drain. For some reason we had half q-tips stuck in the corners of the drop ceiling tiles in the bathroom. No idea.

Breakfast is not included and is $10 per person. We had breakfast at a great pancake place just down the street and it was less expensive.

There is a sign at the front desk that says they'll be renovating and I'd like to think all of the above mentioned will be remedied once complete.

If you have standards, especially concerning cleanliness and quality, don't stay here. If you're just looking for a bed to sleep in, and could care less about your surroundings, this is your place. I'm staying here for free for Holiday Inn's Club Vacation promo, and even that's not enough for me to stay. Heck, I wouldn't have paid the $26 in taxes if i wasnt half asleep from a long drive when i checked in.
In summary: this hotel has beds.

Excellent place to stay & indeed service with a smile. Accommodations were clean as a whistle & it seemed like a lot of things were new. Great indoor & outdoor pool & plenty of motel supplied towels were available so you don't have to take them from your room. Buffet breakfast was available for $9.98 & it was worth every penny & much more! Everything was great!
Single cup coffee makers in the rooms & great choice of coffee! Glass elevator takes you to the upper floors with a view of the lobby & street in front of motel. Complimentary USA Today paper supplied by the motel. And best of all the price was well under most if not all of the Upper Class motels although in my opinion this place ranks with the best of them!
