The hotel was quite acceptable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was rather small and provided an excellent view of the hotel's parking lot. Evidently the great majority of the rooms have the same view, except for one smaller wing attached to the office.
The pool and spa are outdoors, not ideal for October. Many other hotels had indoor pools. Limited selection of restaurants nearby.
We were in Gatlinburg at the peak time of fall-colors-viewing. The hotel is in the center of town, and everything was very busy. We gave up on seeing much of the Smoky Mountains because of the traffic -- must be the same a Yellowstone in summer.More
