“Best Value In Town”

At 35.00 a night you cant beat this motel. It was very clean and had a decent sized fridge in the room. My girlfriend and I went down to take a couple of day hikes in the smokies and to shop and see the strip at night. It was a great place for that. It is a 3 minute walk to a flapjack place and just around the corner from the beginning of the strip. This place worked out great you could get up and drive one minute to breakfast and then take off and be in the park in 10 minutes. It is what it is, a clean cheap place close to the park.

We came in for christmas early, and stayed at the rainbow til we could get in our chalet. My children became deathly sick...and when we asked, if we check out at 3pm, instead of the normal noon...the answer..and unsympathetic..NO. The hotel was old, dirty, and the staff...was had no idea of southern hospitality. Never again!

We spent two nights at the Rainbow Motel. It's a LONG walk to the strip. If you stay here, be prepared to either drive or bring comfy shoes. The motel itself looks depressing as soon as you pull into the lot. We had connecting rooms and both were in equally bad shape. The rooms have a funky smell, the sheets on my bed were too small and most of the mattress showed. The towels were stained and felt like sandpaper. We wouldn't have considered staying if we hadn't already paid the one night deposit. I've never had to prepay the entire stay upon check-in. I believe there's a reason Rainbow has that policy. Some of the office people are incredibly unfriendly. We definitely learned a lesson from this. From now on, we'll pay a few extra dollars and stay on the main parkway!!!

No color except for black in this Rainbow, bugs, bugs and more bugs everywhere dead and alive and what looked like had been there for days. Filth. Definitely don't recommend this hotel.

We stayed at Rainbow over Memorial Day. The pool and view were excellent but that was it. Our room was not in any close proximity to any attractions or shopping, we had to drive everywhere and the motel advertised closeness to downtown. Our room had a slug/spider problem, and the beds were very bouncy and uncomfortable to sleep on. The management was nice, but I feel we did not get our money's worth at this motel!

This motel is nothing fancy but it is very clean and reasonably priced. We usually stay there at least once a year. We come to the area to go shopping so not that much time is spent in the room. It serves it's purpose - we've always been very pleased!

I stayed here in July 2003. My wife and I thought it was clean and adequate for our needs. Close to everything. Nice pool. Staff were polite. It's not upscale, but on a budget, definetly worth the price...
