“Beautiful Smoky Mountains themed hotel!”
Reviewed 3 April 2012

We recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Gatlinburg for our family Spring Break vacations. This is a beautiful hotel, themed and decorated allusive to the town's main attraction, the Smoky Mountains. Besides the beautiful appearance, this a a great hotel with all the amenities that top hotels have to offer. Moreover, the accomodations alternatives are one of the best of it's class; we stayed in a one bedroom junior suite with two queen beds, a living room with a sleeper sofa that converts into another bed and a private balcony. Our family of four were more than comfortable in such a spacious room. Everything was absolutely clean and the bathroom was supplied with everything from shampoo, conditioner, lotion etc. The breakfast is also outstanding, for $9.95 you can have a full cooked to order breakfast with everything from omelettes, cereal, fruits, muffins and so on. The location in the middle of Gatlinburg town is also excellent, you can even walk to the town either for dinner or shopping. At glance, our experience was very pleasant from check-in thru check-out. Five stars for the Hilton Garden Inn Gatlinburg.

The Garden inn was most likely one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in for the given price bracket. A very friendly and knowledgeable staff, super helpful with great area knowledge. The day that we stayed the building was fully booked and one would never know. Our room was in the back and was very quiet and comfortable, so quiet that I asked the front desk if the hotel was full. We had dinner in lobby restaurant, which was very good and well presented. Breakfast had a great selection and was more than adequate to start the day, A complete fitness room with up to date Precor equipment was more than expected. It appears the Hilton chain is moving to the next level with fitness and environmentally friendly property's. Great place, we will be back.

Room Tip: Our room had a fireplace and was in the back, very quiet.

Beautiful facility. Had problems checking in. Front desk staff the rude. Rooms were not well cleaned. It's easy to cover up dirt on granite. Shampoo and conditioner not provided unless you asked.

We planned this trip at last moment so there was no time to book a cabin (where all booked up). This hotel is conveniently close to the main tourist strip on Parkway. You can literally walk from the parking lot to Parkway which is REALLY convenient. The hotel itself is super clean, well organized and the staff are super friendly. The room was very clean as was the bathroom (I always inspect for mold and mildew and there was none). Super clean which is very important for me since I have two kids. There is an indoor pool that is heated which we weren't expecting so we actually went to WalMart in Pigeon Forge and bought our kids bathing suits and they loved it. They have complimentary, unlimited hot chocolate, coffee and tea in the lobby 24 hours and they also have cookies (while they last). The bar was nice for us adults and there is a nice huge fireplace in the lobby. The hotel is very conveniently located close enough to the Parkway strip so that you can walk and close enough to the mountains so that you can also walk a bit there also (must get in the car if you are going to venture further into the mountains. There is also a coin operated washer and dryer on one of the floors that guests can use with their room key (only one of each) which is nice because I went one night while hubby and kids slept so I had less laundry to do when I got back home or, if you happen to run out of clean clothes, it's a nice option to have. We will definitely stay at this hotel whenever we go back to Gatlinburg. It's a nice alternative when you can't get into a cabin or just want to be close enough to the main tourist area.

My husband and I just got home from a 3 night stay. The hotel was very clean and modern. We had a king room with fireplace. The decor was lovely and the room was quiet. One downside was the mattress. The beds adjust to your desired firmness, however it was still too firm for our liking. I don't know if it wasn't functioning properly or what but it felt like laying on the floor. The bar/dining area was great. The bartender even remembered our drink of choice from one night to the next! Room service was excellent and in my opinion not overly priced. The hotel is within easy walking distance to all downtown Gatlinburg has to offer. We will certainly stay in this hotel again!

We recently stayed in this hotel during brief Gatlinburg getaway. My husband and I had a king fireplace room. It was average in size, attractively decorated, and quiet. We didn't have a balcony, but did have a nice view of the river across the road. We found the staff to be outstanding and very helpful. The $9.95 breakfast offered variety and was tasty. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the main parkway and a number of restaurants and is close to the park entrance.

A few negatives: though our mattress was supposedly adjustable, we found little difference in any of the settings - in short, it was too hard. We found a box of doughnuts in our nightstand drawer, which the desk clerk apologized for. Regarding the bathroom, there was mildew on the shower curtain. And the walls were so thin that I could hear everything going on in the bathroom next door, even conversation!

All in all, would recommend this hotel as it is a newer property and conveniently located.

Room Tip: Higher floors on front side have best river view.
