Summit Manor Condominiums

The pictures do not give credit to how nice the condos are. When we booked a room, we thought it was going to be very outdated and small, but everything ended up being perfect! It was actually very nicely updated with great views of the mountains. We were in BB2602 with 8 people and it worked out well for everyone. Plus it is right in the middle of all the shops in Gatlinburg so you can just walk to places in town.

Stayed at Summit Manor Condo #1042. Found this to be a great location, as well as, a spectacular condominum. Everything was in perfect condition. It was very well decorated and equipted with the newest amenities. The gas fire place was so beautiful that we even used it in June. This unit sleeps 6 very comfortably. The view was amazing. The location was within walking distances of everything that we wanted to do. I have visited Gatlinburg many times in the past and this is by far the best place that I have ever stayed. The staff at the Quality Inn Creekside were very helpful and courteous. I would definately recommend this unit.

Room Tip: The smaller bathroom shower was tricky for us. To turn on the shower you must pull down the tub s...

We spent 6 nights in unit 5011 and found it comfortable and well equipped. There was a full kitchen, washer and dryer, free wifi and cable TV. The complex is situated at the end of the busy main street near the entrance to the National Park, making it very quiet. All of the restaurants and shops were close by and there was easy access to the Park for auto tours.

The only slight negative was finding the office to check in. We found the condo and car park easily but the check in was actually at the Quality Inn in the next street. The receptionist was not very helpful, offering no directions as to the location of the unit. Luckily, we found it after a bit of exploring. The Smokies are a great spectacle and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the area.

We have stayed at Summit Manor for the past 2 years in the same unit #4062. We have vacationed to this area for the past 17 years and have stayed everywhere from on the Parkway to Way up in the mountains to this wonderful place. Summit Manor's location cannot be beat...off the Parkway yet only an elevator ride to street level and you're right in the middle of everything. Cherokee Grill, NOC Outpost, Ober Gatlinburg, Sugarland Cellars Winery, Mellow Mushroom, and tons of shopping and "kiddie" type attractions...etc. and less than a mile drive to the SMNP entrance...and such a peaceful stay...not like the hotel rooms on the strip where you can hear everything next door to you. This particular unit we book through the owners on Homeaway.com These owners are a pleasure to work with and this unit is stocked with absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay. We sleep like babies here and enjoy the complimentary bottle of wine. I don't look anywhere else now, I just book this unit because I know for sure that my family will have a pleasant stay free of disappointment.

Room Tip: Unit #4062 is Awesome....2 Bedroom, 2 Bath...

We stayed at the Summit Mannor this weekend for a long weekend getaway with two other couples. We had a two bed room with a pull out couch in the living room. It was plenty of room for the 6 of us. It was very clean. The decor was nice and modern. The full kitchen and dining area were a plus. There was a dishwasher and washer and dryer. We loved that we could park our car, and walk to everything on the main strip in Gatlinburg. The only thing we missed that we normally enjoy in a cabin was no hot tub, but the proximity to the strip compensated for this. Another item we would have liked, would have been a dvd player. We will know to take one next time. I would definitely stay here again. The Mellow Mushroom has wonderful food!

This was our second year (Oct. 2011) in a row staying in Summit Manor (same condo). Again we were very pleased. This is by far superior to any single room motel. If you like space, full kitchens, and a block walk to main street Gatlinburg, this is the place. Rates are very reasonable. Will be returning next year we hope.

Room Tip: We like the ground floor rooms. There are elevators and stairs if you like higher up.

I'm currently sitting in the living room of this condo writing this review. If the sun were up (It's working on it!) I'd have a gorgeous view of the mountains from the couch. I'll start my review with the front door. It's a keypad entry, so you never have to worry about losing a key or card and my 3 year old niece even has memorized the code to get in, and is the official "door opener". In true 3 year old fashion, she panics if anyone else opens the door because that's her job. It's that simple of a process. Opening the door we immediately knew we weren't going to be disappointed because the condo is beautiful with some great features and extremely clean. The kitchen has granite countertops (real or fake I'm not sure, honestly) black appliances and the cabinets are full of glasses and silverware. There is a coffee maker (though no coffee or filters that I've found, so bring some!) and a blender. There is a washer and dryer with laundry soap that has come in handy (we have a 3 year old with us, remember? lol) The first bedroom is about like a small hotel room except there isn't a bathroom inside the room, it's the next door. The master bedroom is fantastic with a very deep jacuzzi tub and bathroom with a shower inside the room. I've had the honor of sleeping in the living room. That'd be about the only "complaint". I use that word very lightly, because maybe all hide-a-bed mattresses are uncomfortable. I ended up just sleeping on the regular couch last night which was much better. There are two balconies in this condo, one from the master bedroom and one off the living room, and both have chairs on them.

As a helpful hint, our condo was 3052 and if we only went down our elevator we would have been left with a large hill to walk up and down. However, if you walk past the pool and around to the elevator on that side, it'll take you down to the parking garage which is then a nice flat walk to the strip. That made getting to the strip a pleasure, and easy to do multiple times a day.

The location of this condo is fabulous! If you take the elevator down to the parking garage and come out that way, you come out directly across from Ober Gatlinburg, and everything else you would want in Gatlinburg is without easy walking distance.

Beautiful, clean, lovely location, child-friendly, quiet building...We couldn't have asked for anything else. If you look up their website and find Condo 3052 the pictures you see are accurate, but honestly don't do the condo justice. It's much nicer in person.
