Dined w our three sons. Really like that they take reservations...so much nicer than the call ahead places. The interior is upscale, cozy and quiet. We were hesitant to take our sons but they do well in most restaurants and enjoy trying new things. Our waiter was new and nervous but tried very hard. We all had the four course meal...cheddar fondue, variety of entrees, salads and dessert. Hubby and I had a couple of private label beers that were very good. Our experience was quite good and the food was excellent. My husband wasn't particularly fond of the 'cook it yourself' method but the boys and he loved it. We all enjoyed our meals and the dessert selection was so good! Now, the downside. We arrived at 730pm and left at 1020pm! That's a long dinner! The bill was $215 plus tip. We were aware of the expense beforehand but we did not anticipate the length of the meal. We felt there was too much time allotted between courses and we aren't sure if that s normal or due to our rookie waiter. We sat about 15-20 minutes between courses and everyone got restless as a result. We left very satisfied but felt tired after such a long meal. Melting Pot is definitely a great experience and has delicious food w the uniqueness dependent on you cooking it all. We will possibly return again but might just go for cheese fondue and dessert.
