Our marriage weekend--- New Year's Eve 2013: Exterior appearance NOT up to Hilton standards. Very poorly staffed @ front desk, waited in long lines to check in. No blankets OR bed spread on bed (?) weird, considering it was winter, had to request blankets & we received old, crappy blankets. Bathroom had no exhaust fan- that's unacceptable. Tub clogged & would not drain, stood in shower water... Bathroom also incredibly small. Limited handicap parking. Other than that- lower level food servers EXCELLENT. Would we go back? Maybe.

Went up for New Years. Hotel sold out, very busy. Parking at night a little tight. Some wait for towels, etc. Elevators crowded but wait not too bad. Room clean and 2 queen room was spacious enough for 4 of us and gear. Good view of city from balcony. Shuttle comes by but only a few minutes from town, park at the Catholic church for $5. Was able to see fireworks on New Years eve from hotel. Food in resturant was good and less pricey than downtown. Kids enjoyed pool with slide.

We had just returned from a family vacation yesterday staying at The Park Vista. There was no complaints at all about service or the way room was. We stayed on 9th floor with beautiful views of mountains especially when they were snow covered one night of stay made it more spectacular. Our son loved the pool very much he always thought you couldn't swim during the winter. This trip was a surprise to him before school started back. The only complaint was food was so pricy and if you had room service they charged a 2 dollar delivery fee on each order on top of 20% gratuity. Contrary to what was heard of breakfast buffet wasn't 10 dollars each and kids didn't eat free either. We do appreciate what management did do for us is that they messed up a breakfast order wrong items sent and food missing they did give us a 25 dollar off coupon on breakfast before we checked out to use before we left. We would stay there again but might eat in town more than to pay the high price of their food!

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our ten year wedding anniversary. The hotel was nice, clean, and friendly service. The trolley picks up from the hotel to take you downtown. Our views were great from the 13th floor Mountain View room. My only complaint would be about the lack of water pressure in the shower and the drainage of the shower. We would stay again during off peak season. Our rate was $129. Peak season rates go up quite a bit from that.

We took the kids to Gatlinburg to see the lights on December 23, 2013. Park Vista is a favorite with our kids, so staying again was an easy choice. Check-in was a breeze and the service was friendly and efficient. The DoubleTree warm cookies at check-in is always a nice touch, especially on a cold December day! This is a popular facility for conferences which can lead to slower service, but luckily there weren't any conferences while we were there.

Our room was comfortable and very clean. It was well appointed with comfy bedding, a big screen TV and plenty of fluffy towels. There seems to be an architectural issue with the balconies, however. This was our second stay at this hotel and on both occasions, our balconies held water, making it somewhat difficult to enjoy the view. The carpet stays wet in front of the sliding door, too. (I don't know if it's water leaking in through the door or being tracked in on shoes, but it seems like that could eventually cause a mold issue.)

The pool is a favorite with both children and adults with its two levels, slides and hot tub. The pool area is also very clean, although it could have a few more chairs available. Families with small children will probably enjoy it more during late morning or early afternoon before the evening crowd and rougher "big kids" and teenagers take over.

We ordered late night snacks from room service. The menu has a lot of options and they were easily able to accommodate our son's food allergies. The service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious!

The best part of our trip was waking up to a snowy Christmas Eve! After a quick and easy checkout, we headed off to our favorite pancake place.

Our only real complaint didn't really involve the hotel. We were on the 8th floor and the room above us was really, really loud, constantly opening their sliding glass door (which isn't really loud until it's constant and late at night) and yelling on the balcony.

Room Tip: Although I don't think any room here could have a bad view, paying extra for a city view is totally worth it.
