“Consider staying eslewhere”

We also got this room through an RCI Exchange. It was supposed to be a Studio Unit but was just a basic hotel room. They remove one of the double beds, added a fold out couch and a whirlpool. If you where to use the fold out, you could only open the door about 1/3rd of the the way. The end of the fold out was lees than 2 feet from the gas fireplace. i would hat to se some restless sleeper knock some bedding against the fireplace glass (the gas pilot was always on). How would you get out if a fire started? I can believe the state of TN or the City would allow this. If you did use the fold out you would have to get into the bed and fold from the foot end there is only a small area to get in on one side of the bed next to the Whirlpool. The whirlpool was pretty nasty. After we cleaned it ourselves it was so loud you could not stand it. There was neither enough space to place unpacked cloths or you suitcase except the fold out couch. Good thing there was only two of us. The bathroom wallpaper was peeling badly and there appeared to be black mold near the ceiling. I looks like the took a basic hotel room, added a kitchen sink, toaster, fold out and called it a studio.

We got this room through an RCI exchange of our Wyndham points. We had a studio on the 3rd floor. It was ok, nothing special--slightly larger than a motel/hotel room, with a 2 burner stove, microwave and mini-fridge. Room was clean, everything worked, it was just........ok. TV was VERY small in comparison to most places we stay. Parking was ok, but getting to the room was like running a maze! Up an elevator, across a hall, down the breezeway......got quite tiring if you ran in and out very often. We checked in late and unplugged the phone as soon as we got in the room (to avoid the dreaded "welcome" call to sell you more property) so we avoided the initial sales effort from the "welcome" center. I saw workers moving furniture on the other side of the building and heard some conversation about "when the painters get done" so I assume they are doing some remodeling/refreshing of the rooms. Once again, it wasn't bad, it wasn't great, it was just "ok".

The room was clean however we were in the older part of the building. The laminate flooring was coming up in the bathroom in the loft. There wallpaper was pealing every where.

We checked in after a 9 hour drive all they did was try to sell us time share for 15 minutes. They called the room all week about setting up an appointment to listen to there sales pitch.

The over all experience was not bad. That's why I gave it 3 stars.

Should have listened to the reviewers who downgraded it. We arrived today and check in went smooth enough. This was an RCI timeshare exchange. We confirmed for a sleeps 8 with privacy for 6 (2 bedroom premium) Called before we confirmed exchange and choose that unit as those were the units with washers/dryers. Upon arrival we were put in the older section which sleeps 6/privacy 6 with NO washer/dryer. Brought this to the attention of the check-in AND reservations. No changes for customer good-will. In fact, just the opposite. Reservationist condescendingly wanted to explain to this writer (who has been exchanging longer than she's been born) how the system worked. Shrugged us off with a "too bad about your luck attitude." Unit was beautiful on the surface. . Kitchen is extremely tight with one of the drawers nailed shut and handle removed. Found same thing in master bathroom. Master bathroom huge -- should have traded sized and made the kitchen the size of the master bath and vice versa. Turned on the fireplace -- assumed it was gas -- it was ELECTRIC -- fake fireplace. Very artificial looking when turned on -- and as with all of them didn't put out heat. No spa on site. Indoor pool nothing to write home about but it was clean and warm. We figured out immediately we would have to drive up to the resort we own at -- Laurel Point -- for decent amenities. Chose this resort instead of our home resort because it was close to downtown and we could walk to restaurants and shops (in case of winter weather). Home resort up on the mountain. As stated earlier, staff pretty complacent. Had to go to hospitality to get our welcome packet and had a hard sell to take the tour. Finally got the message we weren't interested. And this is what we found after being here only 4 hours -- just checked in this afternoon. Can't imagine what the rest of the week will hold. Grrrrr!

Room Tip: Make sure you get what you confirmed. Would call prior to arrival and get name of person with whom...

I was nervous due to some of the reviews I read, but was pleasantly surprised. We had a remodeled room - comfy furniture, huge bathroom, plenty of space. The view was just ok but no big deal. It's truly walking distance to all the shops/restaurants which was great. We have a large SUV and didn't have an issue in the garage - there are some spots that are very tight but there are some larger spots as well. Great value and location. Loved the indoor pool - hot enough to be a hot tub! One small downfall was that the walkways do get really slippery when wet so you do have to be cautious. Everybody who worked there was very friendly. Wifi is just ok, but it works so we made the best of it.

We have stayed here many times. There are many different variations of rooms. newest phase does not have best view but is newer place. I prefer the section back on the stream. The units are not like brand new but you are in Gatlinburg.

Had a 3 bedroom condo for a week. Family time with siblings and a nephew and a sister-in-law. The weather turned extremely cold and we had a beautiful snow that turned everything into a winter wonderland. The only draw back was the slippery sidewalks at the condo. I slipped twice going to the parking garage. They could have spent a little more time to get rid of the ice. The condo was on the top floor and was on the very end so it was quite. There were a lot of kids staying here over the weekend but our condo was away from the noise. We had plenty of room and this is in a good location to walk down the hill into Gatlinburg where the eating and shops are.

Room Tip: The corner unit on the top floor is quite.
