We checked in on Saturday September 4 2010 around 11:00 pm. We came to Gatlinburg for some alone time for 3 or 4 days, without reservations. The desk clerk - Roy, was awsome, he gave us a nightly rate of $110 but also gave us a room discount which we paid $85 for a jacuzzi room, We decided to stay for 6 days and didn't want to leave. He treated us like we were somebody - Family even. He told us necessary hotel info, places he recommended to eat which was good food, he gave us discounts and offered discount tickets.
Our room had a balacony with a great view of the mountains a cleam jacuzzi, a comfortable king bed and a fireplace. If we needed anything all we had to do was tell the staff and they took care of it immediatly.
Some reviews are right the hill is a bit of a walk but its still close to everything and good exercise. The guest laundry and exercise room was a bit plain but it served its purpose,
I hope when we go to Myrtle Beach in November for our anniversary people and places are like Sleep Inn of Gatlinburg.
