“A clean, good value place to stay in walking distance of Gatlinburg attractions”
Reviewed 23 July 2012

This motel was a convenient place to stay to visit Gatlinburg. We were able to walk to the main part of town where to food, shops and amusements were and we felt safe doing so even at night. The motel was clean, had air conditioning, had a vague smell of smoke in the room but was a basic, good value, average sort of motel. We didn't use the pool but other people seemed to be enjoying it. And we found the lady at the front desk to be polite and courteous.

We booked with credit card a few days before our trip to Gatlinburg...when we got there the new owners where very friendly...the rooms were a lil small but you def. got your moneys worth...the pool was always clean they always had housekeeping clean the rooms and bring fresh towels everyday...the owner himself would come and talk to u and chat to make sure your experience was a pleaseant one...he helped us fill our cooler with ice, his wife is very kind..i would tell everyone to stay it is walking distant from downtown gatlinburg, and for the price you cant beat it .

Called to make reservation because of advertising pets allowed and weekly rates and they do not do either one of them.

Our experience was overall wonderful. We were very late arriving and the gentleman was very hospitable about it. From the beginning to the end we were treated with kindness and respect. The room was older but immaculate. The grounds need work but in talking with the new owners they are getting things done as fast as possible and are very concerned with making sure their guests have a good stay. They are very careful of the comfort of their guests, very watchful of their property, and asked one rowdy family to leave which was a welcome change from the last hotel we used in the area where we were kept up till 3 am with kids screaming and running up and down the hallways. You do need to pack an iron and blow dryer if you need them but the peace and quiet were a welcome trade for needing to pack a couple of small items. If we ever need a place to stay in the area again we will certainly be checking for vacancy here first.

this is the absolute worst place i have ever stayed. the woman who works there is rude, and pretends to not understand english, although when your complimenting her she speaks perfect english. the rooms are old and outdated and the service is terrible. my husband asked for a 3am wake up call. i know she understood because she said "3am why you get up at 3am" he told her specifically that he had to go to work at 4am. she wrote it down on paper. next morning, i woke up it was 430am, no wake up call. he was late for work and i called the motel as we were leaving at 440am (shes lucky we were in a hurry, i wouldve went off on her face to face), she said "you didnt ask for a wake up call, then she refused to give me contact info for a manager. stay clear of this place, its terrible all together.

After a bad experience at another area hotel, we found a bargain price at the Red Carpet Inn and were able to check in a few hours earlier than their usual check in times. The front desk staff were very friendly.

When we got to our room, it wasnt exactly what we expected but quickly realized that we got exactly what we paid for. There are better area hotels, but this is a family run business and the more business they get, the more money they will have to renovate the place.

For under $30 a night you cant go wrong, but its definitely not the Hilton. For rebel rousers, men and couples on a budget.

Room Tip: Just ask, they are very friendly and polite people who will try to help.

Needs to be updated in a bad way! The wallpaper was coming off the walls at the corners and the "red" carpet was almost worn down to the padding in high traffic areas.
