This is slightly out of the downtown area, by about a 1/2 mile. Quiet during the night time hours. Clean hotel, what you might expect from a Fairfield Inn, morning breakfast good, staff friendly. No problems to report.

This hotel is located a couple of miles from the main Gatlinburg strip of stores, restaurants, and attractions. It has an indoor pool, hot tub, and outdoor pool with waterslide. The slide spilled out into 3.5 feet of water and was a hit with kids of all ages. The pool was small but never seemed overcrowded. The complimentary hot breakfast was good. The location was ideal for us. It was a mile or two from the main attraction area in Gatlinburg but still on the trolley stop. The Smoky Mountain park was nearby. It was 5 miles or so from the more commercialized Pigeon Forge area. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: Reserve a room with a balcony.

I've stayed at this hotel several times over the last 5 years, and our stays are consistently positive. Check-in is always fast and easy, and service throughout the hotel is very friendly and helpful. Some of the rooms are on the smaller side, but they are always very clean and fresh. The beds are very comfortable - I believe they recently replaced the mattresses. The bathrooms are a little dated but have nice showers and ample counter space. Breakfast can be crowded during peak times, but they do a great job of keeping all of the items stocked. There's an outdoor pool with a mushroom water feature and a water slide. Both are very popular in the summer and the pool tends to get crowded later in the day (it's fairly small), but if you go early in the day you won't have a problem getting a lounge chair. The indoor pool is really warm and the hot tub is just the right temperature. Parking is free and easy and there's a trolley stop on the property. The main Parkway is walkable but it's over a mile away so it takes about 20 minutes to walk there. Also, there's a great mini golf course right next door (Davy Crockett.) Overall I think this hotel is a great value for the money. It's one of the best Fairfield Inns that I've stayed at. Clean, updated rooms are hard to come by in Gatlinburg so don't take any chances. Enjoy!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 3rd floor for better views and more sunlight.

We stayed three nights at this hotel, as did other family members. We had a great stay - good breakfast, clean rooms and plenty of hospitality in the staff. We had a handicapped room and the maids made sure not to touch any of the equipment we brought or other supplies needed to do dialysis. Everyone could not have been more accommodating. We would stay there again if in the area. Even though we did not use it, they had a lot for kids, including a great pool area with slide, and a miniature golf in front. Next time, we will try the pancake restaurant next door!

Overall this place won me over because the staff was super friendly and accommodating; the kids had a blast in the pool because of the slide and the fact that even though it was not very good weather outside they could still swim because the water was heated; the breakfast was great. The rooms were ok. I have stayed in much nicer and bigger rooms for close to the same rates but there was nothing wrong with the room. It was clean enough and suited our needs. The trolley system wasnt fantastic but that's not a reflection on the hotel. Plus it's close enough you could just skip the trolley and take a nice walk into town if you were up for it. We would stay here again.

I stayed here with my family on our last trip. The hotel it's self is very nice, and comfortable. The rooms are a little out of date for a Marriott, but clean and all you need. The breakfast was very nice and lots of options. The one thing I did notice was like many reviews I read is that the rooms are so quiet. We had a front facing room and on the end near the vending machines and was never disturbed by any sounds. The staff was very nice and helpful. It's a good location is both it's plus and it's minus - it is just a bit away from the strip. The trolley stops right in the parking lot which is useful so you don't have to worry about parking. It's got a great outdoor pool - we never used it but if you have kids they will love it. Over all great stay. I would recommend it and stay again!

We would definitely stay here again if we return to Gatlinburg. The hotel is just north of downtown Gatlinburg, which is kind of a welcome respite...especially late at night when you are turning in. The pool is small but fun for younger kids, and the staff was on point the entire time we were there. The rooms and bathrooms may not blow you away, but the cleanliness and service made up for that.

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor room facing the back of the hotel. You can catch a shuttle directly from the par...
