This was probably the largest hotel room I have ever stayed in. It was a king bed with a fireplace and a balcony overlooking the river. The only downside was we would have stayed at this hotel longer had we been able to get a room away from the street. They did not have many king rooms and the we were there off-season (almost) and were right on River Rd and Ski Mountain Rd. Could not believe the traffic noise coming into the room. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub but we prefer to use the hot-tub by the pool. The wood paneling in the room was very 70's, but it was clean and huge.

We decided to go to Gatlinburg last weekend at the last minute and called a few hours before leaving to make a reservation. All the staff we dealt with on the phone or in person were very courteous. The rate was reasonable. The location was convenient, especially for us "locals" who like to sneak in from the back side to avoid traffic.

Our third floor corner room was spacious and clean with a large balcony overlooking the waterfall and bridge. The water pressure in the shower was phenomenal. The refrigerator and microwave were very handy, having an 8-month-old with us, and there was plenty of space to put his travel crib right next to our bed. Parking was easy and luggage carts were provided.

Their complimentary breakfast was small (donuts or toast and juice or coffee) but was delivered to the room very quickly. If that isn't enough food, there is a pancake house right around the corner (well, there's one around EVERY corner in g'burg an Pigeon Forge, isn't there?). There was plenty of good dining nearby, including KFC (ha!), the Park Grill, The Peddler, etc.

The bed was comfortable, but bring your own pillows.

We travaled up from Mississippi for a long weekend getaway booked this room a month ago off the internet. The Girl that helped me on the phone was very friendly. When we arrived I was very happy with the service and the room was GREAT. Very clean and plenty of room for my family. I will come back and stay here again. For the price, you can't beat this place.

My boyfriend and I travelled from Birmingham.....He has never visited Gatlinburg; I have on several occassions. I have stayed at 4 other hotels in town - always with the same requirements (jacuzzi, fireplace, king bed), and booked the Riverhouse sight unseen after reviewing it on the internet. What a GREAT result! While we were there, we checked out 3 other hotels, since we wanted to extend out stay. Nothing came close to the size of our King room with a hottub and fireplace, separate kitchen area and another whirlpool in the separate bath with an AMAZING shower head, location at the end of the busy strip, and the price. Although the TV was 20", with all there is to do besides, that wasn't even a consideration!! EXCELLENT value, EXCELLENT service, and we will be back again shortly!!

We recently spent the weekend at the Riverhouse at the Park. Although it's an older motel, it is very clean and spacious. Everyone working there is very friendly. The continental breakfast (coffee, juice, and fresh baked donuts) are delivered right to your door! It was really cold and snowy that weekend, so we loved having the gas fireplace on all night. (Many hotel rooms have a 45 min. timer, that you have to keep getting up reset it to keep the "fire going".)
Our only problem was that our bathroom was very cold the first night. The wall heater barely put out any heat, and the cold air around the door made the bathroom cold. We had to keep the room really warm so that the bathroom would get some warmth. So we asked the lady at the front office it we could get a space heater for the bathroom, and we got one the next morning. So our 2nd night our bathroom was very warm and comfortable.
So if you check in there and find the same problem with a cold bathroom, ask them for a space heater-and you'll enjoy your stay. Be sure to eat at the Peddler-it's the best!

Our hotel room was adequate and a bargain at only $55.00 for a Monday night. It was clean and had a hairdryer, refrigerator and a microwave. It did not have an in room coffee maker, nor was there coffee in the lobby, they only had tea. Also, it needs some updating, outdated decor, etc. There was a a lot of air coming in from the door and it was in the twenties so it was cold in the area by the front door, also the hot water in the sink never got hot. There was hot water in the shower but not in the sink for some reason.

We were in Gatlinburg for the big snow storm and it was absolutely beautiful!!! Enjoyed our stay at Riverhouse at the Park just wish they would do some refurbishing.
