“Amazing vacation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014

Our stay in Gatlinburg Falls Resort (Bradley LaRue) exceeded our expectations! The cabin had the most amazing views and provided the space and entertainment (pool table, fire pit) needed to keep a family with four children (three being teenagers) busy. Out of our many vacations over tge years this cabin made this trip the all time favorite for our family! We CANNOT wait to return and will most definitely use this resort again!

After a disastrous experience with Gatlinburg Falls last year, we made a point of finding a cabin owned by a different company and did - we made reservations with them. We found out two weeks before our trip that Gatlinburg Falls had bought these cabins and we were actually ready to cancel, but we thought we'd give them a second chance, mainly because we couldn't find anything else. We were also assured that we could check in in town instead of driving to the top of a mountain in Sevierville (30 minutes away). Our guaranteed checkin time on the contract was 5pm. We got there at 4:30 and were told that the cabin was being cleaned and they could call my cell once it was ready. At 5:30 the cabin was still not ready, with the excuse that they had "150 cabins to clean and they were behind". Shouldn't they have known that ahead of time and prepared? Anyway, 6:30, still no call. When we called again, we were told that the cabin was cleaned but that the inspector hadn't been there - they had no way of contacting the inspector and they were all over. So no way of knowing when we'd have access to the cabin. We went up to the cabin anyway and the door was left unlocked. Instead of waiting in 90+ degree heat and humidity we decided to wait inside. 7:30 rolled around, and we still hadn't heard from the rental office. I finally called AGAIN and they said, "oh yes, the cabin is ready to go. I'm not sure why nobody called you. Seriously?

In addition to the check-in delays, part of the reason we stayed at this cabin was there was a free breakfast included for each member of our party for each day we stayed in the cabin. Those were no longer available since the cabins had been sold to Gatlinburg Falls. For six people, we spent about $50/day on breakfast, and not necessarily a very fancy one at that. ALSO another huge selling point was that the cabins had a pool. Well GF closed that pool. We were told however that we were welcome to swim in one of the pools at their other locations - one at the top of a mountain in Gatlinburg, the other at the top of a mountain in Sevierville.

Since they keep buying up properties in the area, we're kind of afraid to stay ANYWHERE down there, because by the time we get there Gatlinburg Falls will have bought it up and we'll be back in the same boat. Here are the properties they own currently, and I suggest you not reserve with any of them:

Gatlinburg Falls, Cabins of the Smoky Mountains, Cabins of Pigeon Forge, Twin Mountain Cabins.

Good luck!

This was our first time staying at these cabins in Gatlinburg. Bradley LaRue and staff were great and always available when needed. Spectacular views from our cabin including the mountains and wildlife. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. We will be back!

Awesome views, very accessible, clean, and quiet.. Loved it!!!! Loved spending quality time with family.. My two kids loved the cabin stay and the hot tub was awesome. Plenty of room and far enough away from the busy part of pigeon forge Tennessee but not too far away to make it inconvenient..

My husband, my daughter and I stayed in The Great Outdoors cabin. It was beautiful. We had a great time. Cabin was clean. We loved the arcade and pinball machine. Front desk was very nice and the coupons they gave were great. Would definitely go back.

We spent six nights at "Loving It" and had a wonderful time. It was the perfect vacation spot for our family of four (kids 7 & 9). Bradley LaRue and his staff were wonderful and very accommodating. Our cabin was clean and exactly as advertised on the website. The kids loved the games and the location to the pool was perfect. As parents we loved the fact that we were off the strip and could easily avoid the crowds based on our location. If the view is important to you look for a cabin higher up on the mountain.

If we had a complaint it would be the Kitchen. It could have used a few more pots and pans and utensils.

All in all this was a great family vacation and a great cabin. We will be back to Gatlinburg Falls Resort in the future.

This was the first time I've ever stayed with Gatlinburg Falls and it was incredible. The location is great and the amenities were fantastic as well. Definitely a plus if you have kids as the cabins have video games, arcade machines and pooltable/airhockey. Hard to beat for the price.

Beth at the front desk was also extremely helpful with area directions, maps and free tickets to attractions! Be sure to ask for the trip money when you check in (free tickets).
