We just returned from Gatlinburg for Spring Break - we stayed at Tree Tops. You get a great mountain&/or stream view from each room. We had a 2 bdr in bdg 6 (w/elevator) & a 2bdr w/loft (so 3 bedroom) Pedistal cottage. BOTH were recently updated. The indoor heated pool was fabulous - plus when it got over 70* they opened the outdoor heated pool - which my kids really enjoyed. They also have many hot tubs all around the resort. Our rooms had flat screen tv's & up to date appliances, a gas fire place, new furniture, new pillow top mattresses and a huge double whirlpool tub & shower. There was an onsite playground which our kids loved plus daily activities put on by the resort. (if you have work to do while on vaca - I suggest bringing a wifi booster- it's a little slow). Like any resort/hotel - download a white noise nap for sleeping. Food City Grocery is just about a mile away. You are just a couple minute drive from downtown Gatlinburg & prob 12-15 mins to Pigeon Forge. Def follow the Tree Top Directions not your GPS on finding the resort. Couple money saving tips: Ober Gatlinburg - ride the tram up (good for 2 days as many rides as you want $1 off coupon in books) - once up there buy the BRACELET (this is NOT advertised - but is only $17 for unlimited rides on alpine slide, ice skating, carousel, etc (otherwise they are $9 each ride). The Track in Pigeon Forge has a bracelet that again not advertised that's only $16 for 2 hrs. Huge savings. The Speedway - has a $29 bracelet for your entire week (good for 30 days) - or $20 for 1 day. Three Bears Store in Pigeon Forge - print off their coupons from computer before you go - lots of bogo coupons that are not found in the coupon books - my kids loved to feed the bears there. Def eat at No Way Jose Mexican - best fresh salsa ever!!! do NOT order Geno's pizza unless you like to eat cardboard. Enjoy Tree Tops!!!
