The Creek makes for awesome experience ! Clean and I agree a little on the "tired" side but clean and the staff are nice and very helpful ! Beds are super soft and that can be at plus or in my case a minus too soft for this old back!

We chose this place based on other trip advisor review. Place is nice, little on the older side but I liked it. Pools are nice. Outdoor looks like its falling apart, the whole pool is crack all the way around. The free milk and cookies at night are a nice touch. What sold us was the creek. We stayed in a executive suite so we can put our 1 year old in a room with us and daughter in the front room. Balcony over the creek was great. Wished it was cooler so we could hear it at night. Place is nice but it is a walk to the strip with a stroller. Would book again.

Room Tip: Smaller rooms are right over the creek. Executive have a balcony too but there is trees blocking som...

When we were researching hotels in Gatlinburg we noticed that the reviews for this inn were great. We usually stay in a little more modern atmosphere but we decided to see for ourselves what everyone was raving about. We loved the balconies over the creek. There was wine and cheese at 5 and milk and cookies at 7. It was located at one end of the strip away from the crowds yet close enough where you could walk the length of the main street. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. So glad we read other reviews and decided to take their advice. Great experience!

I had passed this place several times over the years as a child with my parents and again with my children and always wanted to stay here. It was a Best Western years ago before the Zoders purchased the place. We traveled as a couple (57 & 61) and spent our last night here. I had some mixed emotions because the place was older and really was not expecting much in the line of cleanness, I was feeling even more so when we got the keys and headed to room 115 with the door facing the packing lot, a concrete wall then trees. My fiancé opened the door and said "Your going like this place" and I did. You need to know what your booking at this place as there are several different styles of rooms at different areas, the place is a long line back into the trees with a stream running down the middle of it. We booked a Standard Guest room with a king bed with a balcony along the stream. The room itself is pretty clean and basic in size. This is place is about 50 years old so the bathroom is super small. At 5"2 150 pounds I was hitting my butt when closing the door for the bathroom. There is a toilet and a tub, the tub is child size. The tub is retro 50s style but the fixtures are new. There is no sink or anything in the bathroom. The bathroom sink is on the outside of the bathroom just inside the door to the outside. There is a L shaped yellow laminate counter that has another sink, coffee maker, mirror, microwave and a small refrigerator. There were small end tables on each side of the king bed. There is a cabinet with a small TV on top and one of those old retro stand up gold closets and a safe about the size of a large toaster. There were 2 chairs, the older style fabric arm chairs and a small round table in between them. Although the room is clean the furniture is old worn and totally out dated, again think 50s. There was a back door on the other side of the room and a nice window that was covered with curtains but when you opened the door there was a nice balcony about 5 feet above the stream with a lounge chair and 2 other plastic chairs. Other room across the stream had sliding glass doors and some had swings or a picnic table close by. Our room had two old sliding windows the size of a toaster about the door with no curtain so the room isn't dark when your sleeping. There was a nice supply of shampoo, conditioner, Scope, soap, lotion and so forth. They offered wine and cheese at 7PM that we missed. There is a nice looking pool and a small weight room that looks like it use to be the lobby years ago. The free breakfast was disappointing. There was a lady behind a counter and you had to ask for toast, dry cereal, fruit or a bagel and that was about it. We skipped that and went into town to Davy Crocketts. Over all it was a very nice place and reminded me of traveling as a child with my parents and I am glad we stayed there but I don't think I would stay there again we paid $95.00 and I think it was a bit high for what they have to offer. WIFI was free but I was never able to connect thru Zoders only my AT&T.

Room Tip: Basic rooms facing the stream are lovely, don't stay here if you need WIFI it wont work.

Posh, luxurious, and spacious are not terms that describe most of the rooms at Zoder's, and most, but by no means all, of the "Recent reviews of this property" are generally accurate, especially regarding the quirky breakfast. But Zoder's is the creek, the balconies, the location, and if you do your homework--use Google Maps to get an aerial view, plot your prospective room to see what view it has, call the Front Desk to make your reservation and ask a billion questions, etc.--you can cut down on many of the surprises that accompany a first-time stay at any hotel/motel/inn.

As for our most recent stay (July 29 - August 3, 2014; room 176), I noticed a few, guest-friendly changes, especially in the picnic area, since last year, but the WiFi is still spotty, and the computers for guest use are unreliable. For my family, a stay at Zoder's is a clean, friendly, yearly tradition.

The front desk staff was very pleasant. We were early and our room wasn't ready but they gave us a parking sticker so we could leave our car in the lot and walk around town. The room was a little small. Very comfortable beds. Balcony over the stream is really cool in the mornings. Breakfast is served kind of odd and not customer oriented staff. Kinda feels like you would get scolded if you came back for second helping of B&G. Housekeeping seems to smoke a lot around the grounds. The place is located away from the crowded part of town which is nice. Easy walk up to all the action. The crosswalks by this place is very dangerous. Be careful when you cross. The cars won't stop like they do up town. You have to cross the street to catch the trolley. All in all this place is not bad at all. For the price we were fine with it.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights and were very happy during our stay. We had no problems with making reservations over the phone or checking in. The staff was very friendly throughout and the lobby was very nice. The continental breakfast had a nice variety, although it is odd how they won’t let the guests toast their own bread or bagels, everything is done by the staff. Milk and cookies were a nice touch in the evenings and the eating area had plenty of seats. We enjoyed the indoor pool, hot tub and the waterfall feature in the pool. The location of the hotel was very nice in terms of being close enough to walk to everything along the parkway, but far enough away from the crowds and noise. The balcony was nice in the mornings for eating breakfast and the view was great. How often do you stay at a place where there is a stream running through? The only real gripe we had was just the design of the room, which is outdated. They could definitely upgrade the furniture, but it didn’t hurt our experience. We made good use of the mini fridge and coffee maker during our stay. Little things like that are always nice although it would have been nice to have a microwave for making popcorn or heating up leftovers. Wi-Fi was spotty for us. We had to go outside to get a good signal. The price was definitely reasonable for all of the amenities the hotel offered. Our favorite thing about Zoder’s was listening to the stream at night. We slept so well all week and we just had to open up the little window above the balcony door to hear the stream. The king bed was also very comfortable. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would recommend to anyone looking to stay close to the parkway.
