“Gatlinburg Upgrade”
Reviewed 26 August 2013

This is a premium property when compared with many in the Gatlinburg area. The facility was well kept and nicely updated. Our room was large, clean and comfortable, with everything in working order, two sinks, multiple mirrors, a real closet, large LCD TV, and convenient bedside lamps that featured outlets handy for charging phones or laptops, or for CPAP users. The bed was excellent, with lots of pillows, plus a loveseat and desk chair with workstation area. Furniture and fixtures in the room where in excellent shape; shower/toilet area has it's own sink and hot water was instantaneous and plentiful. A/C unit was noisy but this is common to the type in my opinion. Location of the hotel offers easy access to the Parkway (U.S. 441) or to U.S. 321 from the upper level, within walking distance of most downtown attractions. Breakfast was in a large room with a great view on the fourth floor and offered scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy and waffles; everything a Southern boy could wish for, besides the usual toast, muffins, cereal, fruit and coffee. A full service restaurant is adjacent serving breakfast and lunch. Though room access is from open walkways, we did notice the parking area seemed to be watched by someone in a golf cart late at night. We didn't use the pool area, but it was equipped with a handicapped lift. This was our first stay at the Best Western Crossroads and we would recommend it to anyone looking for an upgrade over the typical worn and weary Gatlinburg offerings.

This is a late review from our 2012 summer road trip. We stopped for the day in Gatlinburg, and checked in to the hotel. The clerk was friendly and helpful, in changing our stay to an earned BW Reward. The hotel was an older, outside entry hotel, but the rooms were clean and had all the necessities, including refrigerator and flat screen TV. The breakfast room was large and well stocked. A very pleasant nights stay, in a busy town. The hotel was located a short walk from the center of town.

Pros: Location is downtown on the strip, good size room, Clean, Beds are good, has electric fireplace, mini fridge, microwave, close to Hard Rock Cafe.
Cons: Can hear when anyone walks by and hear all traffic noise including the sweeper at 2am, Internet has week signals and speeds are dismal < 0.4Mps and is unsecured, Bathroom tiny and tub not large enough for anything but a shower.
Minor issues: Door to room hard to open , Chair had large tear, tiny coffee maker is a joke, Breakfast is the same every day and is very limited, asked for remainder of payment on check-in, had to go to the other Best Western for area brochures, Views all face inward .
Summary: Disappointed that this location does not meet the standards of what I expect from Best Western. We will not be staying here again.

Room Tip: Unless you are on the ground floor you have ramps or the elevator in the middle to get to your room...

Extremely large room that has been recently updated.....everything in excellent shape and very clean. Just a short walk to the main strip. Beds were very comfortable......Just wish that breakfast was served earlier as we like to get an early start.

We were extremely pleased with our first visit to the Crossroads Inn. The hotel has been in Gatlinburg for several years, but you'd never know it. They have done a great job keeping it updated, and the room was so clean! The beds were soft, and the room was quite spacious.
They also have a fanatastic breakfast: biscuits & gravy, eggs, toast , etc. We plan to visit Crossroads again.

Room Tip: They have a variety of room types. Depending on whether you are traveling as a group, a family, or a...

We usually stay in cabins when we visit the Smokies, but they're pricey, and this time we wanted to be right among the action on Gatlinburg's main strip. The Best Western Crossroads is not as centrally located as we would have liked, but is still within walking distance to everything the town has to offer.

Our room was on the fourth floor and was like a suite, with separate living room and bedroom areas. The housekeeping staff (I believe it was Barbara-thank you!) did an amazing job with keeping things clean and stocked. The only thing we found lackluster was the breakfast. The area was rather messy--tables not clean, food and spills in the serving area. The waffles were not good, nor was the coffee (the room's coffee was better). Not that we cared all that much. Gatlinburg has fantastic food establishments. We never went hungry.

For the price and location, if you want to stay in the downtown Gatlinburg area, I'd highly recommend the Best Western Crossroads Inn.
