My husband and I loved our stay here. Everyone is so nice. Amazing customer service. Food was great from the Lounge and the views from our balcony where awesome. Very relaxing time. Use caution when traveling up the road, that was the downside, but the view makes up for it.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Yes, the road does have its twists and turns, but we agree with you....it is worth the fabulous views! We hope you choose us again for your next stay in the Smokies.

My wife and I went for MLK weekend to do some hiking, shopping, see the fire damage and help the economy. We stayed in D202 and it was great. We did not think the fire was near the resort until the day we left and noticed the fire had destroyed cabins just around the corner.

Room Tip: Perfect distance from town for me.

Yes, we were very blessed to have been spared from the fire. However there were over 90 cabins on our mountain that were lost. Thankfully, this does not impact the resort or our views. I hope you will visit us again here at the resort with "The Best Views of the Smokies!"

We will soon be checking out of Deer Ridge Mountain Resort and will be sad to leave. It is so quiet and peaceful here and wonderful views of the mountains. Beautiful sunsets! We had a one bedroom unit, and had plenty of room for my husband and I. The kitchen has all new appliances, with plenty of cookware, dishes, etc., to cook if you wanted. Plenty of bath towels, and bed was very comfortable. Wood burning fireplace which felt good the first two nights here. Was quite cold out. It had just snowed and it was beautiful here! We enjoyed hanging out at the pool and the hot tub in the evenings. Everyone in the front office, maintenance, housekeeping were all so friendly! They made you feel so welcomed here. It is a distance from Gatlinburg, but if you have no need for the hustle/bustle of the city, then this place is perfect. We will be booking again for sure for next January again!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We learn from them, as do potential guests. The drive to downtown Gatlinburg is approximately 12 miles, which takes about 20 minutes. But we feel that the drive out here is worth it, since you are away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, and can enjoy fabulous mountain views! We look forward to hosting you next January.

It's our last night here at Deer Ridge Resort and we are sad to be leaving this condo with perfect views. I think it's important to mention this place has not been affected by the fires and the views were not affected. We had a one bedroom with a sleeper sofa and it was great. Our unit E202 was recently updated by the owners with new flat screens and a new sofa bed mattress. Very cozy, clean and in good shape. It is an older resort but no problems with anything. It is a little far out of town for me but we will be back because it is worth the extra drive. The units were full and we never heard a peep through the walls or upstairs which you encounter at hotels. Wood burning fireplace was a great feature as well. Will be back next year.

We stayed at the resort 11/17-23 ( a week prior to the wildfires :( ) and we could not have asked for a better resort. Perfect location, about 10 minutes drive from downtown Gatlinburg/ city center. The resort is literally at the top of a mountain which gives you breathtaking views every morning. We stayed in a loft which was the perfect amount of space for up to 8, although there were not 8 of us. Jamie in the front office was great, Our condo was truly made like an apartment with a fully stocked kitchen with cookware, utensils ,plates, baking items, you name it. Will definitely recommend and stay again.
