“Great!!!!”
Reviewed 16 July 2014 via mobile

I will be staying next year it was a great place and easy to get to and easy to get to down town or go to Pigieon Forge!! I have already recommend it to other people!! We got to see a black bear and it was so neat to get to!! We did loose power the day before we left but it was a thanks to a tree falling on a power line and taking out 3 light poles but they got the power fixed while we were out for the day so it was no problem. We have no control of Mother Nature!!! Our condo had just been updated and it was very nice and very clean. We had everything we needed so all we had to do was bring our clothes!! The view was great off the city of Gatlinburg and we could sit on our balcony and watch the Tram go up to Ober Gatlinburg. Thanks again for having us we will stay again!! Michelle White an Family!!!

This was a first time for me and my family. and i can say that it was the best vacation yet. we had a lot of family time with each other. and the room we had was to out standing. it was a lot of room and space for my kids to play.on this trip my son did not no how to swim. and it was a nice family that taught him it was truely a bless for him. if you have not ever visit this place it will be your best place to be .

The view was beautiful, the room was great and the price was fair. We had a very relaxing stay at the Highlands! The amenities offered were nice and conveniently located. We are a family of five and rented a two bedroom condo and had plenty of space.

Our family stayed in unit #605 for 6 nights in July. We loved the location of the condominium and the unit was perfect for our family. The kitchen had everything we needed, nice bedrooms, awesome bathrooms, nice updates, and a beautiful view. The staff was ready to meet our every need. We will be back.

Room Tip: There are great pictures of units on the website and there are also videos of several rooms on YouTu...

My husband & I stayed in unit 210 for 4 nights. It's spacious & impressive at first glance, but needs a deep cleaning & some love. It offered a beautiful view & large balcony occupied by hornets. We evicted them ourselves with spray from the office because waiting until the next day was not an option. Then we noticed a sign by the a/c thermostat that said unit will freeze if set below 70. If we would've known there were limitations we would have stayed somewhere else because it never felt cold enough especially at night. The next day we hiked to the summit of Mt LeConte & back (which was awesome!) & looked forward to using the jetted tub. It took over 2 hours to get water over the jets! There's a sink faucet on the tub that limits water flow. We asked for it to be changed or a bucket to help it fill faster thinking it should be no problem to change out the faucet. They said they couldn't change it without owner's permission so we were shocked when they actually gave us a bucket to haul water from other tub (which had a correct faucet!) One employee joked saying we would have to "rough it" which was really rude. Who wants to wait that long for a tub to fill or haul water to speed it up when you're ON VACATION?!? It was an important part of recovery from hiking & was a "must have" when we chose a place to stay. The following afternoon we opened the sliding doors to enjoy the fresh air until cigar smoke from the neighbor filled the room & continued throughout the evening & next day. We contacted the office & were surprised to learn tenants are permitted to smoke on balconies. They did help resolve the cigar problem & we appreciated that, but there was still cigarette smoke that blew our way. We were under the impression it was a smoke free facility because of signs & rules in the owners manual. The location of this unit wasn't quiet. It may be better in the fall when kids aren't swimming or a/c units from below aren't running as much. Or it might be better to stay somewhere else. That's what we'll do.

We are sorry that you had any problems while staying at The Highlands. Our maintenance men leave around 4:30 pm and unless it is an emergency they don't come in until the next morning. The faucet to the jacuzzi was an isolated case that wasn't an easy change out. Thank you. The Highlands

Great times. excellent hotel choice!!
It is probable that we will come back to the area sometime in the near future, perhaps around next winter or Thanksgiving.
The entire family liked the facilities and the views were just amazing.
