I stayed here twice this month once for 3 days and another time for 4 days. The Internet is free but so slow that it took forever to download anything. They had two phones in both rooms but one never worked. The card reader didn't work one morning so I couldn't get back into the building and had to wait for someone to leave. The breakfast was decent but they seemed to immediately run out of eggs right after they opened at 0630. I also thought the rooms and pool were dirty and needed to be refurbished. The dinner was one of the worst I had at a Residence Inn. It was free so I guess I can't complain too much. The dining room staff wasn't very friendly. When I smiled and said Hi they just ignored me. It always seem like they were missing something at breakfast and dinner.

Our family of three spent a week here in June, 2009. This Residence Inn is typical of most and ranks about in the middle of Residence Inns we've stayed in.

Pros: The front desk was helpful and friendly at all times (true of all staff on site). The hotel was clean and the furnishings nice (beds were quite comfortable). Breakfast was good and typical of Residence Inns. Like usual, dinners were ok (a bit bland but free).

The location is nice for going to a number of places. The metro is a ten minute drive away so convenient for going into D.C. There is a TGIFriday's within a minute's walk, and a Safeway only a few minutes drive away for those wishing to fix food in their rooms. Green Belt Park is just across the main street (this is a nice, heavily wooded park with trails).

Cons: The pool and hot tub were open, but both were a bit on the chilly side. Due to the need for security, room keys are required to go anywhere on the premises, and these periodically stopped working (we had them reprogrammed several times). House keeping sometimes didn't show up until after 5pm to clean our room and would only leave us two towels (but did a great job otherwise).

We did ask about using the outdoor BBQ grill and were told we'd need the manager's permission to do so (so didn't bother).

Overall, for this location we felt like this was a reasonable place to stay.

We stayed in a larger 2 bedroom room with 1 King and 2 Queen beds for 2 nights over Memorial Day weekend. The beds and linens were very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms (one for each bedroom) were private and also very clean. Kitchen was well equipped and large enough for our family of 5 (we added the desk chair to the kitchen table). Pool and hot tub were a nice touch after a long day of touring the Capital.

We had no problems with check in and our room was ready several hours before the stated check in time. The housekeeping service was great and staff was friendly. The TGIFridays is within walking distance and there is plenty of shopping and dining nearby. The free breakfast buffett is adequate.

The hotel is a little difficult to find but the Metro station is convenient. Overall, it was a great choice with nice amenities and plenty of room.

I did not see any reviews recently for this Hotel, thought I would write something. I was here for 6 nights in November on business.

Hotel is in a good location near 95 and 295. If there are any accidents on these roads(which were many) traffice gets backed up for ever. I drove Route 1 many times instead of dealing with the traffic of 95 or 295. Many different places to eat mainly chain restaurants on Greenbelt. Had some great Sushi at Osakas, the size of rolls and freshness was incredible.

Hotel was like any other Residence Inns, Pool small was and closed, who wants to swim in November anyway.. Has a BBQ grill that anyone can use. Quiet location. Greenbelt State Park across the street, nice quiet park to walk to. About five miles away was the University of Maryland. Laurel Park is 11 miles away, went there and to Delaware Park(86 miles)which also had Horse racing and a casino, be prepared to pay 14 bucks in tolls for 86 miles... But if you are going to gamble you must have the money anyway.

Rooms were clean, bathroom door a little unlevel kept on closing on me, couch a little uncomfortable. Sat at the Kitchen bar most of the time. Free wire/wireless internet, some TV channels were fuzzy.

Hotel has great free social hour food. Tacos were delicious.

The breakfast was ok, had scrambled eggs, sausage, homefries(could have been cooked longer), cereai, fruit, juices, waffles.. No comlaints though for free(except the price I paid for room).

DC was in driving distance, no train station within walking distance.

Spent a month here and was very pleased with the friendly staff, large clean suite and good evening hospitality meals. The best aspect was the good management by Mary Anne. This meant that every aspect of the stay and accomodation was a good experience.
Greenbelt is just outside Washington DC, the Greenbelt metro station stop (one of the furthest north of the Washington metro) is about a mile away and the hotel operates a shuttle. There is also a city bus that makes the trip every 15 minutes. So while you are quite isolated without a car, it is doable once you get a routine.
The hotel has a small fitness facility, and if you want more (serious free weights etc) the hotel shuttle will take you to Bally Fitness a mile away which is complimentary to guests.
Also, you are 2 minutes or one block walk from a T.G. I Fridays so you won't starve if you don't have transportation, and a car rental is next to that.
The breakfast was the usual pretty terrible Residence Inn fare--these are the same everywhere and the chain really needs to rethink and offer much healthier food. But the evening hospitality meal (Mon-Thurs) was much, much better than any other Residence Inn we have stayed at.
Rooms haven't been recently renovated but are adequate and large and kept clean. Washing machines down the hall.
A nice pool area during the summer.
A Hilton Garden Inn has opened next door, all new and stylish, and while I would normally be inclined to staty there, I would definitely come back to this Greenbelt Residence Inn instead.
