I did not see any reviews recently for this Hotel, thought I would write something. I was here for 6 nights in November on business.

Hotel is in a good location near 95 and 295. If there are any accidents on these roads(which were many) traffice gets backed up for ever. I drove Route 1 many times instead of dealing with the traffic of 95 or 295. Many different places to eat mainly chain restaurants on Greenbelt. Had some great Sushi at Osakas, the size of rolls and freshness was incredible.

Hotel was like any other Residence Inns, Pool small was and closed, who wants to swim in November anyway.. Has a BBQ grill that anyone can use. Quiet location. Greenbelt State Park across the street, nice quiet park to walk to. About five miles away was the University of Maryland. Laurel Park is 11 miles away, went there and to Delaware Park(86 miles)which also had Horse racing and a casino, be prepared to pay 14 bucks in tolls for 86 miles... But if you are going to gamble you must have the money anyway.

Rooms were clean, bathroom door a little unlevel kept on closing on me, couch a little uncomfortable. Sat at the Kitchen bar most of the time. Free wire/wireless internet, some TV channels were fuzzy.

Hotel has great free social hour food. Tacos were delicious.

The breakfast was ok, had scrambled eggs, sausage, homefries(could have been cooked longer), cereai, fruit, juices, waffles.. No comlaints though for free(except the price I paid for room).

DC was in driving distance, no train station within walking distance.

Spent a month here and was very pleased with the friendly staff, large clean suite and good evening hospitality meals. The best aspect was the good management by Mary Anne. This meant that every aspect of the stay and accomodation was a good experience.
Greenbelt is just outside Washington DC, the Greenbelt metro station stop (one of the furthest north of the Washington metro) is about a mile away and the hotel operates a shuttle. There is also a city bus that makes the trip every 15 minutes. So while you are quite isolated without a car, it is doable once you get a routine.
The hotel has a small fitness facility, and if you want more (serious free weights etc) the hotel shuttle will take you to Bally Fitness a mile away which is complimentary to guests.
Also, you are 2 minutes or one block walk from a T.G. I Fridays so you won't starve if you don't have transportation, and a car rental is next to that.
The breakfast was the usual pretty terrible Residence Inn fare--these are the same everywhere and the chain really needs to rethink and offer much healthier food. But the evening hospitality meal (Mon-Thurs) was much, much better than any other Residence Inn we have stayed at.
Rooms haven't been recently renovated but are adequate and large and kept clean. Washing machines down the hall.

A Hilton Garden Inn has opened next door, all new and stylish, and while I would normally be inclined to staty there, I would definitely come back to this Greenbelt Residence Inn instead.
