Mireleft is a rather small village on the Atlantic Ocean.

The atmosphere is simply relaxed (or at least it was in October, when we were there!!). There is a main street that crosses the villages and that head to tiznit (north) or sidi-ifni (south), and only another one that is paved, the rest are simple and small dirt roads.

The city center has few shops selling food and some (but little) turistic stuff, there are 2 hotles and some bar/restaurant.
You can actually find whathever you need: from fresh vegetable to medicines, from tasty pastries to internet points.

The main attracction is of course the beach!
It takes about 20 minutes of walk to get there from the city center, so maybe it is better to stay in the "seaside" part of the village if your idea is simply to enjoy the ocean!
The beach is wide and the water is superclean!

I'd suggest a stay here to all the peole seeking for a deep relax: rent an apartment/house close to the beach and simply enjoy the view and the ocean!
We stayed 4 nights after a though Morocco tour and it has been amazing!

You can use the public bus (once every 2 hours) to get to Legzira plage (direction Sidi-Ifni), or maybe a grand taxi. It is about 20km away and it is definitely worth a visit!

Thank arovati

“a dump on the moroccan coast”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2009

Mirleft is a large village on the Moroccan coast 170 kms south of agadir. It is a real dump with no tarmac off the main road. So dust in summer and red mud when it rains. Full of French escapees plus a few Italian, English, Belgian etc. God knows why .No town planning, the coast line is crammed with an unfinished real estate development so that you cannot see the lovely sea. The other houses are white cubes with no architecture. We were staying in a superb oasis of a hotel down the road called tabelkoukt but forget the village.
Drive on to Sidi Ifni, or go back to Tiznit, or inland to the marvellous countryside.

Thank gormar
