We have gone here 3 times so far this year. First time we went through the aquarium ,zoo , and exhibits. We had a great time. So much fun, and those penguins.....love them!! Second time we went to see the Metalica laser show. It was incredible!!!! Third time was to see the Shipwreck exhibit, LOVED it!!! Of course while we there we went back through the entire center again!!!!! Love this place!

Went on a date here and it was a lovely experience for kids and big kids at heart. I definitely recommend to others. Very educational and not that expensive. The closest thing to a zoo in Greensboro. There is animals outside and also an aquarium.

The exhibits are phenomenal and the overall experience is great! Definitely worth seeing as it is a feeling of a large aquarium and zoo in an educational environment.

This museum is a great day out for a family. We have lived in Charlotte for 7 years and just recently discovered this place. It's not a bad drive from Charlotte and we had plenty to do to make the trip worthwhile. It's not a huge place but there's something for everyone. The aquarium is small but beautiful. There were lots of hands on opportunities for the kids and some really different exhibits from other science museums. Plus, there's a small zoo which the kids all enjoyed. A bonus was the cafe, which is small but very reasonably priced. It's owned by the Fresh Market, and the food comes from there. Be warned - the hot dogs are huge! And the pimento cheese was delicious! I would definitely recommend this museum to families in Greensboro and other cities nearby.

When I visited 2 year back, the small zoo outside was very nice. Few months ago they "expanded" and now keep numerous animals inside.
Some kind of a smaller wild cat held in 10 x 7 foot space nervously pacing back and forth, a bird in 4 x 4 show window. Really disappointed. The Seahorses that were there last year - gone, and bunch of other marine animals gone as well, no explanation offered as to what happened to them.
Rated 5 stars before they opened the indoor exhibit, so it was really a blow to see in how small spaces animals are kept. Won't return and won't recommend to anyone either. Instead go to Conservator's Center in Burlington, the animals there seem kinda happy, couldn't say the same about the Sciquarium.
Be prepared that once you enter you will be greeted with a very strong sewer smell. Bathrooms are right by the entrance and apparently something is not working right...

Thank you for taking time to give us some feedback. Changes in exhibit design and animal collections happen routinely at zoological institutions. Each exhibit, new or old, goes through a rigorous design process and includes meeting and exceeding the most current requirements set by AZA and USDA husbandry standards. Collections themselves will also change as animals are moved to meet breeding and transfer recommendations or naturally age out. If there is ever a concern regarding an animal or exhibit at the Science Center, visitors are encouraged to ask questions during their visit through any number of available staff or docents. Regularly providing new things for visitors to see and experience is something the Greensboro Science Center prides itself on but we also understand that we can't always please everyone.
