“Nice place for families”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

I went in April 2014 with my 1 and half year old and 11 year old. They both had fun. Whats great about this place is that there is both inside(museum/aquarium) and outside(small zoo) things to do.

Going, we didnt know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The zoo portion is small compared to NC Zoo but a good size to walk around and see animals. I think for my 11 year old that was his favorite part. Inside there was a good abundance of animals for the aquarium and good displays/educational exhibits for the museum. Although the museum was multi-level, we had no problems with our stroller because they had an elevator, which I thought was great. They also have a large play area for children

They offer shows, however we did not pay extra for it. Perhaps next time we come we will take advantage of that. We stayed about 4 hours and we had a satisfying trip. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

We have gone here 3 times so far this year. First time we went through the aquarium ,zoo , and exhibits. We had a great time. So much fun, and those penguins.....love them!! Second time we went to see the Metalica laser show. It was incredible!!!! Third time was to see the Shipwreck exhibit, LOVED it!!! Of course while we there we went back through the entire center again!!!!! Love this place!

“Nice place for families and dates”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

Went on a date here and it was a lovely experience for kids and big kids at heart. I definitely recommend to others. Very educational and not that expensive. The closest thing to a zoo in Greensboro. There is animals outside and also an aquarium.

“Wonderful!”

The exhibits are phenomenal and the overall experience is great! Definitely worth seeing as it is a feeling of a large aquarium and zoo in an educational environment.

“Great family outing”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

This museum is a great day out for a family. We have lived in Charlotte for 7 years and just recently discovered this place. It's not a bad drive from Charlotte and we had plenty to do to make the trip worthwhile. It's not a huge place but there's something for everyone. The aquarium is small but beautiful. There were lots of hands on opportunities for the kids and some really different exhibits from other science museums. Plus, there's a small zoo which the kids all enjoyed. A bonus was the cafe, which is small but very reasonably priced. It's owned by the Fresh Market, and the food comes from there. Be warned - the hot dogs are huge! And the pimento cheese was delicious! I would definitely recommend this museum to families in Greensboro and other cities nearby.
