The museum is located in downtown Greensboro opposite the public library. It's not real big, all on one floor. You basically go around a circle to see all of the exhibits, plus there is a garden outside. It may be geared for smaller children but my 9 year old was still able to have fun for a couple of hours. No food service is available.

Seems like its good for very young children (under 6) but much older there is not much to offer. Very expensive for a short visit, plan not to go back

Learning through play. Not enough of that in schools anymore. Here a child can climb into the cab of a Semi Truck and pretend to be a truck driver, or fly a jumbo jet, or be a railway engineer, or run a post office, or be a general contractor on a construction project, or be a chef in a commercial kitchen, or plant a garden, or drive a race car, or be a police officer or a fire fighter. There is a working theater with stage lights and sound effects, and working newsroom studio with cameras and a weather desk. It's an awesome place to be a kid, and dream.

This is a great place for children of all ages. Keep in mind, however, that if you have young (under 2) children, you probably shouldn't go on the weekend since there are school aged kids then. I like to going during the weekday. They also have specials for after 4pm. Lots to do...I even enjoy it! The only thing I don't like is the cost to get in. Adults and children have to pay so it can get pricey.

We have been going for YEARS with our neices and nephews. It is always a wonderful time and usually a fight when it is time to go! Something for children of all ages. Our 12 year old rolls her eyes at going now...but still has a BLAST! with the younger kids. Worth the trip and cheaper on Sundays!
