Mythos is pretty much the best Greek food that you'll find in Greensboro. We tend to order the chicken souvlaki or chicken platter with fries or double greek salad, all of which are very good. The dolmades are a nice appetizer, if a bit greasy (they present them in oil, which I thought was unnecessary). My main issue with this restaurant is that their tzatziki could be a lot tastier if they made it in a more traditional way (cucumber, garlic, and thick yogurt). Their version is a bit mayonnaise inspired, it seems (i.e., bland). The upside of ordering chicken in a pita is that you can't really tell, as all of the ingredients meld together and the end result is pretty delicious. On a similar note, the Greek salad lacks flavor -- plain iceberg lettuce, mediocre feta, few other ingredients. But the value for the meal is excellent. I'd just prefer to be charged a few more dollars for an upgrade to these minor flaws.

Had a wonderful lunch at the Battleground Ave. location. Because the cons are so few, I will list it: if you are planning to dine, noon is not the bet time as they are really busy and you may have to wait for a table. We went at 1:00 and had a short wait but the food was well worth the wait! I had the chicken slouvaki with pita bread and salad..... WOW..... This was amazing. The portion was more tan ample and I had to bring some home..... It made great leftovers also! I highly recommend Mythos Grille!

Mythos doesn't do anything adventurous, and their menu is fairly limited, but the food is pretty good. The Avgolemono soup was nicely flavored and tasty. Likewise, the Chicken Souvlaki Plate consisted of tender meat with just the right amount of tang, and its slight dryness was corrected by the accompanying tzatziki sauce. Surprisingly, however, no lamb dishes are offered even though one typically associates that meat with Greek cuisine.

Service was prompt, and the Greek wine we chose was OK and reasonably priced. My main complaint about Mythos is their reliance on plastic and styrofoam -- no glassware, or china, or metal utensils are to be found. I complained about this to the manager who, to his credit, was not at all defensive; he explained that he was looking for alternatives, and he suggested that the situation would change at some point in the future. Let's hope that it's sooner rather than later, both for ecological reasons and because the food at Mythos is better than its current fast-food presentation might suggest.

I like the food here, but we called in to place a to go order for chicken parmesan and asked for no pasta with the dish. We tried explaining over and over and over, we just want the chicken not the pasta and to save our lives we could not get the person taking the order to understand that we just wanted the chicken and to leave the pasta out of the dish. We wanted to try and substitute something instead if you are wondering why it was such a big deal to leave it off, otherwise could have just not eaten it. We got so frustrated that they could not get what we were trying to ask them to do that we decided to abort and not order. BTW, they spoke very well and it was not a language barrier! Very frustrating!

Food is good once you can get a parking space AND get seated. We weren't thrilled about having to stand in the doorway for about 15 minutes with everyone else while customers were coming and going. Very clean, friendly staff.
