We recently stayed here on one of our first days on Safari so this was our first experience sleeping in a tent for the trip. The tent is quite comfortable with a real flushing toilet and a sink and shower.
The main lodge is lovely and it's a great place to sit and watch the sunset as you have a drink in the evening with nuts, chips and salsa. The food is quite good with a menu to choose from.
There is a gift shop on the premises, but the prices were way over what you can find in other areas. Although, they had some lovely things.
At night, I heard a scratching on our tent - I'd heard that dik-dik sometimes like to scratch at tents. It was either that or a squirrel I'd seen earlier. We didn't hear other animals at night, but in the morning, we saw gazelle quite close and several elephants were very close to the tents.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and this is a great place to stay when visiting Tarangire.More
