We fully enjoyed our 2 nights. The staff was friendly and helpful. They arranged kayaking & motorbikes for us. The Khmer breakfast (noodle soup) was delicious. The cottage was rustic but clean. Highly recommend!

We stayed for 6 nights here and found the staff so friendly and warm, the food quite good, enjoyed swimming in the river and hearing the fishing boats go by each morning and evening! Lots of families with kids, volleyball games, kayaks available, and close enough to Kampot to be convenient. The bungalows were just great. A really pleasant stay.

Great location, friendly, clean, good food. But everyone's brats running around day an night so not much fun at all it is familyied out, no singles there at all. The kids scream and disturb everything. Great for families I would guess...

It is local and natural style. Surrounded by rice field. It is good place to relax and escape from the crowd. Family run and all member friendly and helpful. Dinner was great.

Early morning was so lousy by ferry passing by, but was not big problem.
If you are looking for good coffee, you will disappointed.

We had hoped to spend several nights here but gave up after one night. The over-the-river scenic bungalow is described as being suitable for up to five adults, but in a single room with double, single and two pull out beds it is hard to see how that would be possible or comfortable. The wardrobe had no hangers, and the toilet and shower were guarded by very flimsy curtains that blew in the breeze. There was a stiff breeze blowing down the river for our one night and it sounded like a gale inside. Despite what it said on the menu, there was no fresh fruit juice. We did not find the owners friendly or helpful, and we were very glad to leave the next morning.

Difficult to find the words to answer this really surprising comments of these guests. As the owner of Les manguiers my wife and myself we were not on site when they arrived and met these guests only in the morning after. On arrival they were upset about the scenic bungalow as it has only one large room and not 2 rooms as they expected. On the morning after, we kindly discuss with them and they acknowledge that they miss read our document which clearly specifies that this bungalow has only one room with 1 dble bed (1.8m) 1 sgle bed (1.2) and 2 drawer beds 0.9 m (which slide under the large dble bed). We several times had 5 adults who stayed in this bungalow and had only very positive feed back so far (see otehr review).
We had a friendly discussion with them before they left end of the morning ; they also was aware of our cancelation policy which clearly stipulate that one will be charge 100 % of the room fee for less than 48 h notice cancelation and 50 % for less than 5 days . Despite they did cancel for 5 nights both the bungalow and another room (so we could have request them for a cancellation fee of 247 $) we did not ask for any payment yet as we agreed to wait and see if other guests would take over their booking. (in this case we do not want the person who had to cancel to pay anything) May be theses guests did not like that we trusted them !!. They promice to call us after Christmas, they even request if they could join our chritmas evening party but we did not ear from them so far despite I send them a kind reminder email informing them that we did find guest for almost all of the nights they cancelled except the 2 first night for the scenic bungalow !!!
About the no juice complaint, just want to rpecise that on the same evening we did run out of fresh orange juice but serve several other fresh juice (banana passion pineapple..)
So we are of course a bit chocked and sad about this review, but different people have different views and we will better highlight that the scenic bungalow has ONLY ONE ROOM !!
Wish these guests to have a very happy new year, with no bitterness and anger and respect for a team of cambodian staffs who are generally recognised to be very helfull and friendly.

Local style huts on stilts, bordering the river, surrounded by rice fields, idyllic. Jean Yves and Phear are superb hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. Having lived in Cambodia for over 20 years, Jean Yves knows his onions when it comes to local knowledge. The rooms are clean but fairly Spartan. Hot water for washing and showers comes in the biggest Thermos flask I've ever seen. Food is delightful, especially when served overlooking the river.

Room Tip: Bungalows are great.

This is a very nice place a few hours drive from Phnom Penh to chill out and relax. Beautifully located on the river banks, the hotel offers different level of rooms. Mine was very basic but clean. The restaurant is healthy and tasty. The guesthouse has various activities to offer like boat trips, bikes, motorbikes, canoes etc ... to keep you busy.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
