“good stay”
Reviewed 3 March 2013

we stayed there for three nights and had a great time. it is very cheap and the rooms are very clean. the stuff is very friedly and helpful (they organized us a moto because we didn't have any money left and there is really no ATM in kep...)
the restaurant serves very good food (they bought us fresh craps at the crap market and cooked it for us - like cambodian people eat it!).
recommended!

Our room was brand new, very clean - we were very positively surprised that for this price (6$ double bed, 8$ twin room) we got this clean standard. There was no TV in room, and no hot shower, hot shower is only in air-con rooms. They serve good food at the rooftop restaurant - nice place to have a breakfast. It is a 15 minute walk to Crab market and a bit more to the beach (but the beach is not really the thing you would be looking in Kep). Staff was very helpful and polite. Good place to stay in.

Everything was basically ok except for the noise by staff and workers. Rooms have open windows and ventilation holes across the room. Don't expect a peaceful night's sleep and the staff will just ignore your complaint.
But if you're ok with that, it's a decent place. The roof terrace is peaceful and perfect to lounge a bit.

Stayed there for 2 nights, the place is on the main road and kind of far from the center, about 20 minutes walk or even more. You can rent a motorbike for sightseeing for 7$. Maybe it's better to check few neigbour GH's for it though, because the one we got here was probably older that I am. Rooms are clean and the staff is nice, but the walls are thin and there are small vent-holes on top of them, so we had to wake up early once because of some guys having an argument.

Anyway, the place is good for a short stay, and it's gonna be short, trust me, there is nothing much to do in Kep and the prices for food are just crazy (as one of the locals told me it's because not so many tourists come to Kep and stay there for more than one night, but the people need to survive - that's a good logic isn't it?). If you need cheap food you should drive to a local market, not the "crab market" (or bargain really hard).

I have been staying here now for one month and I could not be any happier with this very nice little Khmer guest house.,great value at $7 per night, room cleaned every day own bathroom and TV.aircon rooms available $15 per night.Great little restaurant on top floor with views of the ocean and mountains.Just a short cycle ride to the crab market and beach in kep. Hanging out with the owners three children is a joy they so much like to interact and learn about where you come from. There is also a little shop out front for snacks water soft drinks, petrol etc, mottos for rent. The family can arrange all your trips and ongoing bus tickets.Visalsak is well worth a couple of nights when in Kep.

I stayed at Visal Sak for 2 nights. It is located on the main road about 10 min walk to crab market. The stuff are friendly they have a nice restautant in the upper floor with great view but the food in the market is better. At night it's very dark to walk alone you can rent a bicycle for 1$ or a motorbike for 7$. Becide the market you don't have alot to do you can book a trip to Rebbit island from the travel ejency in the market for 7$ it's a beautiful island. The room have a/c for 15$ or fan for 7$ ,bathroom with hot water and tv.
