“A hidden luxurious surprise”

Tucked away from the main road, along the slopes of the Kep National Park, this villa property is the perfect get away!

Two villas - the main building with two suites, and the more modern villa, both come with a pool each and stunning views of the Gulf of Thailand and the Bokor National Park in the distance.

The rooms are well appointed, and the common spaces are replete with pieces of art; paintings, sculpture, artifacts - you cant help but notice the pains gone into making this a beautiful space. The gardens around are bountiful with tropical plants and if you ever just want to lounge or play - make for a perfect setting.

But the best part are the staff, friendly and happy to go any length to make your stay as special as you'd like. Every meal is a spread - you get to choose from the menu that include both local and continental fare.

The crab market, the Yatch Club and Rabbit Island are a few places within Kep that I'd recommend. I used my time in Kep as a base for the nearby town of Kampot too - which has its own charm and not over-run by tourists yet.

The view from this secret luxury boutique hideaway is the best I have seen from any villa so far during my travels. Stunning scenery, breathtaking views during both the day and night, hospitality and service on point and the food was wow!

Highly recommended luxe travel destination!

“Perfect place in Kep for a quiet holiday for two or a group of friends.”
Reviewed 30 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

Tucked away from the main road and surrounded by greenry of the hills all around the Villa des Palmes was the best choice of stay we made in Kep.Just walk for 5 min out of the villa and you would be in the famous kep crab market which is an experience. Though located within walking distance from the crab market you hear no noise or hustle bustle of the market. Take a walk to the beach from the Villa which is about 15 minutes from the Villa during sunset to see the see the gorgeous sunset over the bay.
the two pools were huge and the service was attentive but discreet. The garden is big and with paths to walk around. The view of the bay from the Villa looking out to the sea and the Bokor mountain was amazing.
Loved the food where we could choose from traditional Cambodian dishes and western dishes.
one has to sit in the Sala and watch the sunset over the bay.
Just walk for 5 min out of the villa and you would be in the famous kep crab market which is an experience.
For a couple i would recommend the 2nd villa which is a minute walk from the main building .

Would highly recommend it and will be back for sure.

A wonderful experience. Perfect for a getaway with friends. Top quality accommodation, service, location and style. This place is special. The attention to detail is evident, but you feel so relaxed in this casual environment. We will be back!

“This villa was a hidden gem!”

When we booked this villa, there were very few reviews available online as the resort is fairly new. However, the pictures looked amazing so we took a chance and we were not let down, if anything it was better in reality!

We came as a family, with 6 adults with 2 young children and 2 older children, which worked well with the room allocations. My parents were able to take the stunning detached and modern villa with its own pool. My sister and her 2 little boys took the biggest room, which was enormous and beautifully decorated with outdoor and indoor bathroom! We took the downstairs bedroom with 4 poster bed, still very large, and our older children had the twin on the same level.

The views from both villas were stunning, as was the landscaping within the villas and both pool areas. It was slightly tricky trying to keep track of 2 little ones within the 2 areas, but we certainly would not have changed anything.

The staff were absolutely fantastic. Every morning we chose from a menu our lunch and dinner and whatever request we made was delicious and cooked to perfection. Would particularly recommend the curry, soft shell crab, all the salad and quiche!

The property was well maintained and cleaned, however the staff were very discrete and we rarely saw them.

We were very well looked after by Helene, who arrived at the villa every morning to assist with anything we should require for the day - massages at the villa, restaurant recommendations, nearby trips, special breakfast requirements etc.

The nearby crab market is a 5 minutes walk, with lots of restaurants and bars. The sailing club which was lovely for lunch, was a 15 minute walk. The beach and sea were not great. In fact the sea was quite dirty and not what we expected, even on a trip out to nearby Rabbit Island. But the villa was so lovely, we did not feel we had missed out.

I cannot recommend Villa Des Palmes highly enough!
