My husband and I are on Holiday and couldn't get a room by the beach, so as a last ditch effort we stayed at the gulf coast Inn. Now mind you we are not snobs, nor are we prentencious. However, This was a NIGHTMARE!! The room smelled of insect killer and it was a wreck!! The bathroom was tiled in yellow and black. From the 60's I am presuming. The sink was held up by a table leg from some other peice of furniture. The towels were thin and worn. The TV remote did not coincide with the tv itself. The AC had a candy box stuffed in it which my husband did remove. The pillows if you want to call them that, were extremely thin so you had to fold it in half to actually have a pillow. We stayed out as late as possible fearing for our night at the BATES motel. My husband put or luggage in front of the door just in case someone wanted to wander in. I slept horribly. We awoke at 5 AM and quickly gathered our belongings, and hung out till 12 PM wandering the stores of Pensacola Beach. We then checked into a fine hotel at the beach. So if you are deperate, and I mean desperate ,then give it a try. But sleeping in your car doesn't sound that bad when you weigh the 2.
