I rented one of the two bungalows and was within three yards of the rice paddies. For the first two days I didn't leave my porch as I gazed at the variety of birds and the various stages of work going on in the paddies. It was fascinating watching the harvesting, planting, methods to keep the birds from eating all the seeds and early sprouts, and the ways of controlling water for the rice.
In front of the Lake & Paddy was a well travelled lake with the tourist boats as well as local traffic including a gaggle (?) of ducks being herded from one location to another by two boats men. Most of the surrounding area was local homes where you could get a great feel for the day-to-day family life and business on the lake.
The Lake and Paddy was clean, attractive and reasonable considering the location and lack of inherent tourism. It seemed to be mostly a young crowd while I was there and the music was loud in the main house but in the bungalow area you could not hear it. Also no food is cooked on premises so you have to order off a menu and they pick it up at the restaurant. You can purchase coffee, tea and cold drinks on premise. I would stay there again given the location and views. Not for the 5 star traveler.
