Superb architecture. Quite unique in quality. Just outside the city walls, one would not expect such a gem in this dusty town. A tomb which makes its builders and his wife live forever. Spendid proportions.

Lives up to the billing as the prettiest monument in Bijapur, definitely worth a visit - beautiful carvings a nice break from the plain plaster of many of the other Bijapur monuments. Spend some time wandering around the base where you can peer into the crypts

It is the mausoleum complex where Ibrahim Adil Shah II is buried with his queen, Taj Sultana. Designed by a Persian architect, Malik Sandal & It’s believed that the design of Taj Mahal was influenced by the design of Ibrahim Roza. This splendid structure is richly decorated with wall sculptures and wall hangings. There is a beautiful mosque with a lovely ornamental pond & the minarets mark the corners of every building. There are beautiful gardens in the premises that compliment the beauty of monument with magnificently carved walls and perforated stone windows.

This will certainly be on your itinerary. The tomb and mosque are amazing. Be sure you check out the basement which is half hollow so that in case of earthquake, the structures would kind of float on the foundations without breaking. A must.
