I went there on 29-30th October 2011, having booked the resort after seeing an ad in the Mumbai Mirror. A lot of things were good like:

The Manager / Owner, Mr Bhavesh was courteous and clear on what options I had no false promises and they delivered.

Despite booking the room in advance, I was shown 2 rooms (as they were available) to choose from.

We selected one pool / hill facing room on the 1st floor, but as we were 5 of us. 3 adults and 2 children, the team provided a similar room which we thought was a little bigger. Thanks to Mr Bhavesh

The food was good, though the "poha" can be a little better and "Corn Flakes" can be of multiple flavour Also some fresh juice can add variety for people like us who like juice in the morning. Dinner was excellent.

The Magic show was also good especially the last act, maybe a DJ music show can add to the variety.

All service staff were courteous and efficient.

Rooms were clean and comfortable

All in all a fine weekend spent at a good resort.

Stayed here on a monsoon weekend.

VIEW FROM ROOM:
Rooms are clean and have one of the best views.
My room was the one with hill and pool view. Amazing view.

ROOM FACILITIES:
However, considering the room rates, it felt inappropriately equipped. Like - a sofa instead of the small chairs would have been more appropriate.
Bed was very hard , not comfortable enough.
Also the AC was a sound machine when turned on.
The TV and its reception was very poor (it must be a local cable network connection).

FOOD:
Food, especially the punjabi paneer dishes were great, it had correct balance of spice, no complaints on that one. Even the tandoori rotis that we had were excellent (had a nice one after a long time!)
The restaurant is clean and seems hygienic. Although the tea service needs improvement. I received a very cold tea once.

SERVICE: Service was prompt and willing.

PARKING:
There is a private parking space. However one night when many guests logged in, it got really cranky, and you may have to fight for space.

AMENITIES:
The indoor game facility of carom and chess are a joke.
The carom board is baby-sized. And there is only one board. The chess board was like a fractured leg, with unmatched pieces.

Overall, a average hotel with a few blanks unfilled.

Room Tip: Choose a room with hill view.

Hi…Silver Hill’s has been an amazing experience for us….resort is very clean including the rooms and corridors. The best part of the resort is the swimming pool and the gym…I love this place as it has thought me how to swim :)
However the food is a little expensive....else evrything is good.

We held our staff picnic for 1n/2d in Sept.11 and we were 52 of us. We were quite demanding on choice of menu and facilities for DJ party.
The resort did not do a single thing wrong. The people managing were very helpful, capable and really made our picnic a grand success. We are thankful for all the smiles that they got on our staff's faces..

I stayed at silver hills resort last week. i made my hotel choice after reading tripadvisor reviews.Must say the place was good and in someways beyond my expectation. i had booked the ac premium plus room. the view was very pleasing. it had the view of hills and swimming pool. the property is very near to the main road and yet feels quiet and secluded. the staff was efficient and polite. i had gone to the place for a holiday with my mother and sister. the hotel provided me with as best service they could.we did not hv meals in the place but must mention the great masala chai and chilly cheese toast were very good. the only disappointment was they did not help me with my drivers accommodation.will definitely be going back.

Stayed at Silver Hills Resort 2 weeks ago and had a terrible experience.During booking(over the phone) I was informed about standard rooms(no view) and superior rooms(hill view).I chose the latter as hills is what one looks for coming to a place like lonavla. We booked 2 rooms. After check in we were led to our rooms. The room at the end of the corridor had slight hill view owing to it being in a corner, but the other room offered a view of only Fariyas resort! When I discussed this with the manager,Mr Bhavesh,he barely gave me time to finish my sentences and told me that this was it..take it or leave it "we'll refund your money".Now the thing that really put me off was that it's rude to interrupt someone(esp a lady)when they're speaking and a person from hospitality industry should know that.
Finally,we decided to stay on as there were no rooms available at any other resort. We requested for an extra pillow in the room. When we got it,it was rock hard with a dirty torn pillow cover on it.The mirrors in both the rooms were cracked(big sign of shabbiness). There was no hot water in the bathrooms for a long time in the morning(we had to remind them a couple of times).
I always rely on tripadvisor reviews when planning my travel. This time was misled heavily!

Bhavesh M, Owner at Resort Silver Hills, responded to this reviewResponded 28 September 2011

This is in response to the review posted by the name of Ripti on 27th Sept 2011. The facts are quite contrary to what she has penned down. She had booked two rooms in the name of Rajat Lakhani. First of all she was informed of all the room type available at the resort. Yes she did inquire about rooms but she was told as what view she would get from each type of room. But she had budget constraints and she opted for this particular one. Although this room also offers a very good view of the hills but her defination of hill view is that one should be able to see the hills lying down on the bed.She wanted a 360 degree view of the hills from the room. As far as her statement that take it or leave it is false as she told that what if she would like to check out then i said that u can take your full refund. Her claim of lonavala being packed is totally false as sept being a off season rooms were available in all hotels but her budget did not permit her to do so. Also she was offered superior rooms but she wanted them free. In short this is a typical case of grapes being sour and you have certain travellers who want to take advantage. Her bluff can be blown by the fact that she said when she checked in that she never knew about other room categories as she has called seeing the ad in the paper and here she claims that she relied on trip advisor. In that case she had access to all travel portal site who also sell rooms for Resort Silver Hills as well as the web site for silver hiils where in all type of rooms are mentioned. About her complain of torn pillow - it is all made up as we take pride in giving a very neat and clean linen to guests, if it was hard all she had to do was ask for a soft pillow. About her complain of hot water yes she is right as there were some elctrical problem with boilers but these were sorted out in 20 minutes. In the end i take strong objection to her review about being misled and worst experience as the truth has been already stated above. We would like to request fellow trip advisor review readers not to be misled by this review and request them to rely on the reviews posted on by other fellow travellers.
