Lonavala is more a one night stay from most. The expectations are obviously not much especially if you are on a budget. Having done innumerable trips to this town which is just about 80 minutes from where we live in Mumbai we have had opportunities to stay in star properties, private bungalows and guest houses as well. The place always depends on who you are traveling with, what time of the season and the purpose.
Hotel Gautam was a revealtion. We chanced by while walking on an earlet trip and decicded to stay here. It is a remarkably blissful place with a rajhatani haveli type setting on the extrerio. However theindertious are resomably modern if modesdt byt very clean and well kept. the pool badly needs repalt and the front office promiced us it will be done before the summer season begind. The food predominentlt Gujrati/ maharashrial was superm. The staff serve you with such aplomb that you feel sad for not eaing wnough. On thwe hulkas are yum and the rice genune basmati. We haveMore
