This hotel was chosen for us by our travel agent. The room was basic, but adequate (although the smell of mothballs was terrible!). There weren't enough towels in the room and it took several calls to get someone to bring some more up. A lot of the staff seem quite young and inexperienced (affiliated to a hotel training school?) and the service was mediocre. Breakfast and dinner were again OK but nothing out of the ordinary - we had far better food at lunchtime in another hotel closer to the centre of town. On that point, the hotel is on the edge of Kanyakumari, but it is about 15/20 minutes walk from the beach.
The lowlight of the hotel was the swimming pool - broken chairs, no towels, no staff around. One of the better points was the roof, which could be accessed to see the famous Kanyakumari sunrise, although as you'll see from the photo it wasn't great (clearly not the hotel's fault!).
Overall it was OK, but if I was going back to Kanyakumari I would definitely look around to see if there was somewhere better and/or a bit more central.
