We had a suite room which was the highest category room at this hotel. It is actually not a suite … just one room with a good sized balcony and the second (twin sized) mosquito netted bed outside on it. It had an alfresco shower room and separate toilet room. The room was very dark with a broken lamp and several burnt out light bulbs. At night we had to use a flash light to see anything while in the room. There was a broken door handle on toilet room and broken flushing button on toilet. There was supposed to be a mini bar in the room but there was none ... Not even a refrigerator. One saving grace in the room was the AC which worked quite well. The food is awful. Maybe the worst I have had in a hotel. No one was ever at reception when we stopped in. We always had to wait. At check out the desk clerk repeatedly said that I did not give them our voucher from hotels.com. When I produced a photo copy of the voucher their copy suddenly appeared. This hotel is over priced with bad service and awful food.

Thank you for a nice stay. Helpful staff, well organised activities. Good breakfast though we found prices for dinner / lunch a tad cheaper elsewhere. Very pleasant stay in quiet rooms with quick access road to beach. Massage ladies next to cafe very good job. Clean pools, beautiful gardens with excellent planting and landscaping out of this world. Highly reccommended as place to stay

Room Tip: there is a table tennis room - whack youself silly on a hot day:)

We stayed here on a recommendation from our taxi driver and were very grateful to him for bringing us here. The place is just beautiful, all different priced rooms set in a tiered garden with two pools. We had a cheaper room down the bottom which was still superb and very nice for how cheap it was, the rooms up by the pool looked stunning. Staff were always really helpful and friendly, the included breakfast was always good, as was other food from there. Highly recommended!

Cafe is hotel, dive center, minimart, in center of the village. The restaurant has a real cook..too much of the food on offer is limited to a few "balise" dishers. Few have a real cook - Sail, another up the beach

We stumbled across Amed and it turned out to be our favourite place in Bali. We stayed in Amed Cafe & Bungalows in their rooms across the road from the restaurant. The rooms/pool/surrounds were GORGEOUS - felt like I was in paradise. The rooms were nicely furnished and clean, but not over-the-top or too expensive. Also, the staff were always friendly and relaxed. We all thought we could have happily stayed longer than the 3 days we were there.

Room Tip: The rooms across the road from the restaurant were nestled in beautiful gardens and very peaceful.

We were at this hotel for 3 nights in April 2013. Staff were excellent, room was really Balinese style, beautifully clean with beautiful balcony and daybed. No tv which was fine because we read, relaxed and would generally socialize more. Breakfast was good, just enough. Pool was outside our room and went in on hot nights for a swim. Beach is rough coral and not ideal for swimming in my opinion, very sore on the feet, no in room safe, but front desk gave you a key and kept a key and had 2 locks on the bag so it was good. Staff really make this place. Great restaurant within walking distance for seafood. BBQ shrimp in bali with rice and balinese sauce is absolutely delicious.

Once we found this place in Amed we ate here at least once a day. The Chef's peanut sauce is the best Ive ever had. It is local fresh balineese food. Best food in Amed. We recommend it highly it was so good.
