“Worth a visit”
Reviewed 15 December 2013

Amazing location, great setting, great views, an amazing infinity pool and good food. High prices but the place is worth it. Food was good, made with care, was there two times and I would recommend it to any one. Offers complimentary pick up & return to the hotel.

“Nice food, too expensive, cleverly hidden costs.”
Reviewed 3 November 2013 via mobile

Reception and service was very friendly, but a little nervous. The waiter had limited knowledge of the dishes, but being low season, this is understandable. Brand new and inviting dinner seating.

I had balinese fishcakes from the tapas menu as a bogus starter. Good but a little too compact and dry. The sambal was good, but could have had more chili bite.

For main I had tuna. Good taste, clever with the vanilla infused soy sauce which also matched the oak in the sauvignon blanc I drank with it quite good. 125 k plus taxes (more on that later).

For dessert I had raspberry- and liquorice fondant, which sounded cool, but whatever trace of licuorice there was supposed to be, it all drowned in the raspberry taste. Nice presentation.

At this point I am on 3 points, the food is good, but not quite worth the price.

What makes me withraw another point, is the 'clever' way they hide the taxes. What seems like a 21 percent gov. and service tax add-on in the menu, is actually a 21 percent gov. tax AND a 20 percent service tax. That's right, they add 41 percent to your bill!

With that in mind, and feeling a little fooled, the quality is simply not good enough to defend those prices.

“Safka restaurant”
Reviewed 28 July 2013

The hole atmosphere in Griya was excellent and their restaurant Safka continued the same high class customer service. Menu was attractive, food appearance was tempting and taste was wonderful. Don´t forget the dessert! Atmosphere in Safka was easygoing, friendly and comfortable. If you visit in eastern Bali and in Amed, I highly recommend, that you have a lunch or dinner or just pop in at least to see the view! It´s outstanding!
