Owner description: The former royal palace of Tirtagangga (which means water of the Ganges, Hinduism's holy river) features tiered fountains, gardens, and stone sculptures of mythical creatures spouting water into bathing pools. Just outside the palace grounds, the views of the lush rice paddies of northeastern Bali are stunning.

It was the highlight of our day trip. We really enjoyed wandering along the stepping stones across the first pool. The gardens are beautiful with many pools and bridges. It costs 10,000 entrance fee and another 10,000 if you want to swim in the two large swimming pools.

A lovely place to spend the afternoon.

We did a day trip from Sanur taking in Klungkung, Tenganon, Candidasa and Tirtagangga. Without doubt this was our favourite place and made the journey worthwhile. Beautiful setting with much to marvel at. There is naturally water everywhere but lovely stepping through it enjoying this creation. You may bring your swimmers if you wish. The immediate approach road to the car park (walking distance) offers great photos of paddy fields and the volcano. ~1.5 hours drive back to Sanur.
Thanks for the vote if you found this helpful.

Beautiful setting and landscaping and well worth the admission price and time! We took countless photos and enjoyed the craftsmanship involved in creating such intricate designs!

Tirta Gangga is a water palace in eastern Bali, Indonesia, about 5 kilometres from Karangasem. We called in as part of a private guided tour of east coast area.
The water palace is a maze of pools and fountains surrounded by a lush gardens and many stone carvings and statues.
The centrepiece of the pools is a large tiered fountain. There are many beautiful carvings and statues adorning the gardens and keep the photographers quiet.
We visited late afternoon on a lovely sunny day, it was fairly quiet which added to the enjoyment of one of the best water palaces we visited in Bali

We've been before and visited again as it's a lovely place to chill. The restaurant has great views over the water park and serves great food and drink.
