When you find yourself travel to the East of Bali and want to stay away from the touristic area of Candidasa, go check out this place call Turtle Bay Hideaway in Jasri Beach in Perasi village not far at all from Candidasa. They only have two great big wooden house villa right at private beach with great private infinity pool. This is certainly an oasis and very private place to spend time with your love ones! No need to find other restaurant around cause their home kitchen provide you with their best organic healthy food with a good price. Emerald and his staff are great host with the most. Ask him to take you around his organic garden and the organic chocolate factory behind the compound. Feeling tired? No worry, their recommended masseur are excellent!
To find this place can be a bit challenging so plan to come in the day light as it is much easier to follow their signs. Indeed a hideaway spot! Beware, once you arrive you, it is hard to leave this place!

Room Tip: One villa on the far right is great for a couple and the middle villa is perfect for a group or fami...

I was told a secret! I listened. I investigated and made a booking! Travelling many kilometres from Bali's Sanur and about 5 kilometres past Candidasa, found a PARADISE on the 'Isle of the Gods'.
There were stars and a crescent moon, and waves that cracked through the sleeping hours. There were abundant facilities and memories to stoke my brain for months, and possibly years to come. The four exclusive and very PRIVATE villas were more that this commentary could describe. They were intimate, secluded and remote. It was a traffic-busy (mainly trucks) journey from the outskirts of the Bali capital to the East Bali destination in Candidasa, Karangasem. The most unbelievable rough track was the final part of excursion to - what would be - nirvana, the 'Turtle Bay Hideaway' ... a paradise for rest and recreation. From the arrival moment, I was gob-smacked! It was sometime I had sought for most of my life - a holiday destination, second-to-none. It was certainly a tad upmarket, but remained extremely rustic. The constant sea breeze (and no-screened windows) kept and mosquitos and stray insects at bay! A private swimming pool was yours to enjoy. A bountiful breakfast was provided and dinner is served by candle light on one of your three balconies or any one of the many table settings, in your unsophisticated, but charming surrounds. Scoring 'Turtle Bay Hideaway' is not difficult at all - out of 10, it gets an 11! Sorry, because I can't keep secrets!

I actually live in Bali and travel for work so I spend a lot of time in hotels. When I finally get away for myself, the last thing I want is a standard "corporate" kind of hotel. I want a place that has some soul and is unique.

My partner and I had a beautiful one night retreat to Turtle Bay Hideaway's couple cottage. It is only about 2 hours from where we live but it felt like a thousand miles. The ocean breeze blowing through the wooden house, the private swimming pool and the time to enjoy each other and talk undisturbed, undistracted and uninterrupted was very special. It was hot at home but cool at Turtle Bay Hideaway. We didn't miss the aircons and the staff were great - even taught my partner how to make the white fish and green papaya salad that they made for us the first day. He loved it! We had fantastic massages on the balcony and woke to the peaceful music of a ceremony at the jetty in the distance.

The prices were very fair, the staff were lovely and the privacy and natural beauty were priceless. This isn't a place to go if you want a kid's club and an air-conditioned room. We enjoyed it so much that we are bringing frisbees and cards and our kids back to the bigger house in a few weeks for my daughter's 17th birthday!

Thanks so much to Pak Made and the rest of the staff! See you soon!

Every time I come back here, I instantaneously feel the release of any tension my body may be holding! The serenity of the place, combined with the natural beauty, delicious organic menu and warm Balinese service makes this an ideal stop for discovering the pristine eastern part of Bali.

Turtle Bay Hideaway is located in a small town called Jasi in the eastern part of Bali, close to Candidasa. The 3 waterfront traditional wood-built bungalows are simply gorgeous. The setting is all the more special because it has a stunning sea view due to its location right on the tip of the bay, which gives you land views to the sides, the sea and the island of Lombok and Nusa Penida in front and Mt Agung towering behind you. With the continuous rolling and breaking of the waves against the shoreline of this property, for me, this is pure bliss.

And as someone pointed out later, it has great feng shui: mountain at the back and water in front symbolize prosperity. Can't go wrong. Even if your'e only a guest!

Room Tip: The honeymoon villa is the one you want to go for.

During our visit to Bali we spent 4 days in this wonderful place. We really liked it from the first minutes, when we saw the room on the first floor of the wooden villa. It was full of sunlight and wind from the ocean, there were no walls and we didn't close them at night. Fantastic relaxing place! The ocean waves are almost at your feet, creating the melody for your dreams. In front of the terrace is a green lawn where you can see sometimes black gallinule or a monitor lizard. A perfect swimming pool is surrounded with green bushes and is so pleasant that we didn't want to leave it. The food is excellent, very delicious and is served to the table at the terrace or to the swimming pool.I can say that it was the best food during our visit to Bali. We also enjoyed massage with Tono, who is very professional and helpful. Really this place is hidden from the world and is a paradise for those who want to relax with ocean, wind and sun, but under super comfortable conditions. We are very thankful to Made Yudha, manager, who took care of us till our departure on the 8 th of December.

Room Tip: We like the room on the first floor of the first villa, but for a big company the second villa is be...

A friend living in Ubud recommended Turtle Bay to us, and from the moment we walked into our villa (Kelapa, the "honeymoon" villa) I knew we would love it. A gorgeous setting right on the ocean, absolutely beautiful, spacious, rustic, authentic villa with a private pool, set amongst gardens, rice terraces and stunning nature. Our entire bathroom was outdoors - shower, tub, sinks etc (toilet behind a privacy screen) - such a pleasure to wash up outside in the warm air while listening to the waves crashing. Although luxurious in its own way, it is still quite rustic. The waves crash pretty loud at night and although we had no trouble sleeping, our friends in the villa next door had their whole place rattling, which scared our 13 yr old god daughter. I would agree as they recommend on their website, this is more of an adult place, not for kids under 12. The food was all made to order, fresh, organic, and the staff was about as friendly and accommodating as you can imagine. The manager Made is great - so nice, helpful and easy. Also, they have an amazing masseuse named Tonno who we had come a few times for evening massage - what a great way to end the day! One thing to note is that while Turtle Bay is on the ocean, you can't really swim there and there's no beach to lay on - hence the private pools, patios and lawns. But White Sand beach is just a 10 min drive and they'll drop you there whenever you like.
