Dewani Villa is a such a special place the staff are amazing the grounds are amazing its so beautiful I have no words to explain it, if your thinking of booking Dewani please do! While my partner and I was were at Dewani I got sick and to be sick in another country is not fun at all but at Dewani I felt so at home that it made being sick bearable! Also try the restaurant next door the food is spectacular!

Our first trip to bali was made all the more enjoyable because of dewani villa. They resort was exactly as pictured. The staff was so welcoming, like family. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and would highly recommend it to friends. Missing Mades banana pancakes.

Room Tip: Maybe go upstairs as we could hear people walking around. We had the pool room which was very quiet...

This was our first visit to Bali and therefore I was quite apprehensive about what I had booked on line. However Dewani resort was all that it was made out to be. After a busy day sightseeing or shopping it was great to go back to the serenity of the Villa's. The staff were excellent - always smiling and freindly, the rooms were beautiful, and the pool delightful after a day of heat and crowds. I would not hesitate to recommend Dewani to any of my friends or family.

Room Tip: suite room a little noisy as faced onto street and over reception area

After travelling numerous times to Bali my girlfriend has wanted to stay at Dewani & when she found a good deal on Expedia how could I say no. We knew that it wasn't located within walking distance of shops & restaurants but based on the reviews we were happy to have somewhere quiet to relax at.
Having someone from Dewani to pick us up at the airport meant that we weren't have to provide directions to Dewani late at night. We were welcomed with cold drinks and the room didn't disappoint, it was large semi-palatial room with a king sized bed.
Even though we were on the ground floor near the dining area, everyone was so quiet you almost didn't realise there was anyone else staying there. Whilst the breakfast menu is limited it is cooked fresh when you order it - big thanks to Made.
All the staff are so welcoming and helpful. Even though its slightly away from the main strip in Seminyak they provide a complimentary driver to take you to the nearby shopping or restaurants.
If you're looking for somewhere to eat I would suggest Tulip, Sarong, Warung Tualan or Sambal Shrimp for great dining experiences, then if you're after a more laid back place try the ribs at Naughty Nuri's. When Joku found we hadn't booked at Tulip, when we arrived we found out he rung ahead and made sure we had the best table in the house.
Whilst Dewani provides a laundry service there is a laundry less than 5mins walk outside the villas which is half the price.
As we were so happy with the drivers we ended up using them for a couple of day trips. Good value with a 5 hour trip only costing $35 or 8 hours costing $45. Whilst they have a number of suggested options, as we have been to Bali several times before we sat down with our driver and organised our own itinerary, which they were happy to do & even added their own suggestions (my advice if you're doing a day trip it pays to do some homework). Thanks to Ketut, Wayan and Nyoman.
The pool area and grounds are kept, neat and tidy and as there are just a limited number of guests most times there is nobody else around so that it feels like your own private oasis.
We really enjoyed our stay - thanks to Gin, Joko and the rest of the staff. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet laid back stay away from the crowds & noise.

I booked this place based on the remarkably high number of excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. Our stay was lovely, but fell a little short on a few matters after all the hyping:

If you a first-timer to Bali like we were, you might want to stay a little closer to town, unless you really hate all hustle and bustle. The trip to town takes about 20 minutes one way, and there's a complementary ride if it is available. But if you want to go back and forth twice on one day, say for a dinner in the evening (not many places around the hotel), it already starts feeling like a bit of travelling.

The rooms had character: we were at the upper floor of the round "hut" with plenty of local style. The style was cute but the room felt dark and for a honeymoon trip it was not splurge.

Breakfast was fresh and staff very friendly. So overall we were happy, but keep your expectations under control - it's a small, cozy and cute place, not a lavish 5 star resort.

Sitting at the airport about to fly back to Perth. The stay at Dewani Villas was better than we could have dreamed.

The location is away from the "maddening crowds". It was a quick (15/20 min) drive to Seminyak so we could easily partake of the Bali shopping insanity if we wanted. We really enjoyed the quietness.

The rooms were great. Bed was slightly too hard for our preference and the TV reception and make was pretty poor but they were the only faults we could think up.

The staff were magnificent. Helpful and quite protective :)

The breakfast was fresh, delicious and made to order.

The pool was a perfect temperature and made for a gorgeous spot to relax after a day of exploring.

Taking a ride on the hotel bicycles was a fun little treat that we recommend.

Would visit again in a heartbeat.

Dewani created the perfect environment for our recent honeymoon! :-) can't thank them enough for making it a special Bali experience!

They not only provided palatial rooms (with classic luxury) but also went out of the way to ensure we were comfortable, and also acted like a tour guide for us with suggestions and booking our taxis and cruise.

Joko, Yvan and all the multi-talented staff were friendly and ever smiling.

Will miss the banana pan cakes!!!! See you soon!

Thanks
Madhu and Arun
