Came here to try the afternoon tea set that they offer which offers a variety of afternoon snacks. First of all the scones was well... not scones? Tasted more like muffins or bread to me? Secondly the sandwiches were average at best. The quiche and tart was ok but the rest were just nah. I also ordered the biku cooler which just tasted like.. Water? We ordered the fish and chips too and the fish was just two small chunks. Lucky it wasn't expensive or else would have flipped. Will never return again unless I absolutely have to.

Thank you for your recent review of Biku. We were sorry, and surprised, to read your criticisms, and I would like to address these. Firstly our scones. These are one of our signatures and our many guests who know a good scone when they taste one ,have unanimously said these are some of the best scones they have ever tasted. "Even better than their grandmother's/mother's" is a frequent compliment we get!! Ofcourse if you are used to the small hard offerings that are sometimes served as "scones' , yes you would think our light and fluffy scones, were unusual I guess. Sorry you couldn't appreciate a good scone ! The sandwiches, which would be our finger sandwiches i assume, are simple tasty sandwiches, I can't see how you could find them "average'...I'm not sure what you expected. Our Fish and Chips is 3 generous fillets of fish with chips and salad. What you described is our mini fish and chips which is indeed a small portion as it is on our kid's menu and its for kids!!! Once again our Biku Cooler is one of our most popular iced teas and is a flavoursome combination of herbal teas. It sounds like you left it sitting until all the ice had melted and watered it down.
I can't imagine why you would "absolutely have to return" to Biku unless it was to see why everyone else is enjoying it. We would of course be very happy to see you back here one day.

best wishes,

Asri Kerthyasa

ordered carrot cake to prove the recommendations. and yes, I do agree with most people, the carrot cake is a champ!! not too sweet balance with creamy cheese icing. paired it with green juice, so I don't feel too much guilty. Top notch carrot cake for sure!!!

“Biku is Charming”

Food is delicious, service is quick and attentive. Breakfast has lots of choices, fresh local juices. The ambience is also delightful - a lightweight structure built in local traditions. Open & breezy!

“Great tea house”

We popped in for breakfast and of course a pot of tea. We ordered omelette, breakie roll and pancakes. The food was lovely and the tea even better. Large selection of teas available. Would go again.
