We stayed at the mandira in June. We stayed in a family room at the back of the hotel and found it to smell very musty when we first walked in. The kids got eaten alive by mozzies at night whilst sleeping (we had brought extra plug ins and kept the doors shut but they still got bitten). As we had small kids with us, we tried to have an afternoon nap each day- which was really hard when all you could hear was the constant banging from the construction being done above.
We tried to avoid Peak hour 8:00-9:00 at the main buffet restaurant as each morning we would stand waiting for a table for 15-20mins, whilst other guests would walk straight in and take a table before we could get to it. There didn't seem to be any organisation between the staff during busy times, and guests were left to grab tables where they could.
Apart from that, the highlight of our stay was definitely the swimming pool and slides. The kids loved the slides so much we didn't go to Waterbom as planned.
All staff very friendly and helpful. Loved my massage at glo spa! would've gone back for more but found the salon prices expensive- double the price of other salons I went to in Seminyak.More
