We have just returned from yet another trip to Bali and this was our 3rd stay at The wonderful Bali Mandira Hotel.. We LOVE this hotel and will never stay at another hotel in Bali. The staff are wonderful and friendly, rooms are cleaned everyday. It was my husbands birthday while we were there and staff had left a beautiful arrangement of flowers in our room while we were at breakfast, it was a lovely gesture. I love the location it's on the beach front, quiet and yet you can just walk up the road to all the great shopping and wonderful resturants nearby.
Everytime we come it feels like we have come back to our second home.. Can't wait to go back next year......

My husband and I with 2 boys aged 15 and 16 stayed at the Mandira for 10 nights. Loved the little squirrels coming down in the mornings and evenings for a nibble on our Pringles, so cute. Breakfast was lovely although a little overcrowded near the Egg Station, best to get in about 8am.
Drinks very expensive at the pool and take your own stubby holders. Very friendly staff and very accommodating to our needs. We stayed on a the ground floor with a balcony.
Room cleaned every day. Gardens beautiful and the beach right there - just gorgeous.
First timers...... take your own coffee and tea. Shops and restaurants all good, just around the the corner from Garlic Lane. Great location and would recommend this hotel.

This resort is beautifully maintained, the gardens and bungalow style accommodation really make for a Balinese stay. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a Premier Suite which was in the main Building, having booked a Cottage l was a bit apprehensive about the change, but the room was lovely with garden/sea views although a little further to walk to the pool/restaurant. The main pool area was disappointing, l had thought it old looking and not very inviting although the lawn area did help to make up for that. Staff were very friendly, location is very good close to beach/shops. When l do stay in Bali we always stay part of our trip in Legian its a bit quieter than Kuta but still within distance to Seminyak and Kuta.

Once again we finished off our holiday with a 10 night stay after having spent time in seminyak and ubud. This was the 3rd year in a row that we have stayed at the Bali Mandira and it never fails to impress us.To meet all of the staff from previous years who never fail to remember you (special mention to Padmi and Komang)and to meet the new staff who all give great customer service. This was the first time we have stayed in a superior cottage and the room is more than adequate.I don't think you can get a better area to stay and with the access to the beach is always handy. We look forward to meeting all our friends at the Bali Madira on future visits.

We have travelled to Bali many times and thought we would try the Mandira Resort and Spa. The hotel is beautifully set in lovely gardens and the staff are fantastic. The rooms and surrounds are immaculate in cleanliness. We stayed in a family room which was spacious enough except for the bathroom. The room had a raised area classified as a play/ board game area, with big cushions that was really a waste of space with children of our age group (9 & 11), instead of a balcony. This was a little disappionting as we like to have a drink on the balcony whilst the children get off to sleep. Our fridge was warm and even after it was reported, it didn't get much cooler, so no cold Bintang's !! You were also slugged $6000 Rp for a bucket of ice, which isn't much, its just I have never paid for ice anywhere even in Singapore !! The hire of the DVD player is $50,000... again not expensive until you add it up over a week or two week period. The location is great, however you will be hassled the minute you step out of the hotel onto the street. A family we met there moved from the family room to balcony rooms with adjoining room for kids and stated it was much better - suggest doing that if you have older young children. Ideal place for couples and perhaps families with younger children, although the kids club is not a club, just an out door play area.

I've just returned from a fleeting (6 nights), but lovely stay at the Mandira. We were up the back of the property, at the base of the 3/4 level towers. Room was clean, lovely and cool. The aircon certainly worked, froze us the first nights, so we turned if off before going to sleep after. Didn't hear our neighbours through the walls. FYI - the hairdryers are weak. If you are going to a wedding & planning on having styled hair byo. Lovely established gardens, friendly staff. Lots of smiles and hellos. Loved the breakfast buffet. Lots of families enjoyed themselves by the pool, but if you prefer your swim child free, there is a lovely but smaller adults only pool upstairs. There is a lot of sun lounge 'reserving', sitting at breakfast and 3/4 of the lounges have towels on them with no one in the pool. But if you fancy getting revenge, take the towels to another random lounge, as you get allocated a towel which is numbered, if you don't return it you get charged... or you can pop across the road and sit on the beach. Better still, walk up the beach to the nicer and quieter stretch of beach up at Seminyak (about 40 - 50 minutes stroll).

All good, would happily return to both Bali and the Mandira.
