“Unfortunately won't go back.”
Reviewed 23 June 2012

We just got home from another great trip to Bali. I found the puri raja to be an average hotel and out of 8 places we have stayed this is the only one we won't go back to. Our room smelt like sewerage which was grose. I did enjoy the quiet pool but that was about all. Breakfast was disorganized. We didn't feel very welcomed at this hotel but hey you win some you lose some.

We recently traveled to Bali on our first oversesas holiday as a family, we have two young children 9&6 years of age. The atmosphere was great, the staff were amazing, the rooms were clean and comfortable, although our bathrooms could of done with a little touch up as it was starting to look a bit shabby, but still very comfortable. We traveled as a group of 4 familys so 17 of us in total 8 adults and nine children. We could not rate the place highly enough, we had interconnecting rooms as our children are quite young, the restaurant was nice and food was of good quality as breakfast was part of our package, we also had tea there a couple of nights, couldnt fault the meals for us. It is out of the hustle and bustle of Kuta and the pool areas where quite and great swim up bar to relax and have a few bintang's by the pool. Will definetly revisit this property again in the future

Room Tip: If you have young children request an interconnecting room it makes the experience a heap easier.

This is our second time back to Puri Raja and again the Puri did not disappoint. We requested a ground floor room and were given one together with a welcome fruit bowl on arrival. The staff at the hotel are always accommodating to help with any requests. The pools are always clean and the front pool is quieter if you want some quiet time. The other pool has a pool bar which is very nice to use. One day they did run out of pool towels but did manage to find some for us. Eating breakfast overlooking the beach is a view you can never get tired of. Eating around the Puri is good, recommend Legian Snacks, not fancy but food is good as is Bali Bagus, Warung Wali is also very good for food, try there nasi goring with the satay sauce, aaammaazzzing. DON'T eat at Pavone, we went as a group and one member of our group had to send his meals back twice.
Want a good laugh, go to Legian Beach Shack on Garlic Lane, they have a drag show on at 9.30pm, great for a laugh, don't expect the best show but god it is funny. Mugshots coffee around the corner is great for real coffee.

All in all, good place to stay, location wise you can walk everywhere, Kuta and Seminyak. Will stay at Puri again next time.

The location of this hotel is perfect the rooms clean staff in the restaurant seemed friendly enough price of food and drinks quiet reasonable. Breakfast i did not like could not find anything exceptable pancakes not nice which i usually love, eggs tasteless eat somwhere else if its not included in the room. Overall great place to stay would recommend to anyone to stay at the Puri Raja.

What a great little hotel. We ended up with an upstairs room with a cool balcony to chill on.

The restaurant manager was awesome, as was the chef - he went out of his way to make my sisters 50th celebration on Friday night exactly what we wanted, and which we decided to do their on the spur of the moment as another suprise for Ang .... the manager even put on one of our red "fifty .... Angies new "F" word" singlets for photos with us and had we had more, the other staff would have too.

We got a pot of green tea with brekkie, not what everyone wants, but we did, and the location on the beach was great.

Would definitely stay there again ... you weren't just a number ... and cudos to the man who lugged my heavy pink suitcase down the stairs and then raced out on the road to get us a taxi to go to our next hotel

As good as the Puri Raja is, they really need to up their game. After many stays at this hotel, this time we were a bit disappointed. The rooms need a re-vamp, and they really need to look at what other resorts in the area are offering. We moved to the Baleka Beach Resort after 5 days at the Puri and there is no comparison between the two. The rooms were amazing at the Baleka, even with the renovations in progress the resort is fantastic. All prices included all taxes so there is no surprises at the end, unlike the Puri who's prices were dearer to start with. As much as the staff are great I feel that the management at the Puri Raja are getting greedy, as everything is now dearer by a lot more than last year, We wont be returning to the Puri and will go back to the Baleka

Amazing place to stay.! Rooms were very nice, very clean, serviced daily. Air con in every room, safe box, tv, DVD player hire, all staff are so friendly and keen to make everyones stay a pleasurable one. We had 10 couples stay here at once and all were more than happy with their stay and service provided. 2 great pools, one with a swim up bar. Restaurant was awesome, we had free breaky daily included with our accommodation, I tried most things on the menu and was never disappointed. Lunch menu was really good too, variety to chose from and great tasting food. Great location, right opposite the beach. Shops, restaurants, cafes, laundry service, mini market, transport, money change places, day spas etc are all very close and within walking distance. a very beautiful place to stay, gardens and grounds are very well kept, all staff are hard workers and keen to please all people staying there. I would love to stay here again next time I visit Bali.
